Twin is too format warping. None of my friends believed it would be banned 😂

It doesn't speak volumes at all. Twin isn't the most busted card, when they unban all cards, there are like 10 cards that are more busted then it and like 20 staples to other decks that make those decks function fluidly.

I think no banlist Modern is way more broken than banlist Legacy by now. Once people would figure out the format, it would be combo winter, summer, and everything in between with insane interaction like Mental Misstep to boot.

He explained in his video that he wanted things to combat Urza's Saga. Mana disruption was a potentially nice side effect, but he really didn't care about that too much.

Legacy I think mostly because there's more fast mana. Lotus Petal, Lion's Eye Diamond, Dark Ritual, Ancient Tomb, City of Traitors. Those cards let fast combo and stompy decks like mono red prison pop off a turn or two sooner than a Modern deck can.

@@crushedscouter9522 yes, you are. they were referring to comparing legacy *with its banlist* vs modern *with no banlist*. all of the example cards mentioned at the end of their comment are banned in legacy but legal in no-banlist modern. anyway, besides that, it is not exactly true that legacy has all the cards modern does, as for example dreadhorde arcanist is modern legal but banned in legacy, because in that case the format context including the larger card pool of powerful cheap spells as well as powerful free protection etc makes arcanist powerful in legacy in a way that it is not as much in modern, but introducing some powerful spells into modern (either back off the banlist as in this format, or simply some new spell in with-banlist modern) could give arcanist the juice to do something more powerful in modern than is available in legacy. (similar also applies to eg monastery mentor being banned in vintage but legal in legacy)
