I remember when someone managed to troll loads of people by putting something online saying you could instantly charge your phone by putting it in the microwave. It was quite tragic… so many casualties. Those poor phones never stood a chance.
4chan trolled iPhone users 3 times with great success; convincing people that the new iPhone at the time was waterproof, convincing people that the new iPhone could be charged in the microwave and convincing people that the iPhone's 6 issue of bending easily was actually a feature and that people should bend it as much as possible.
