No Crank, No Start! Starter Relay - whyTF did Dodge put it there??

Sons Dodge CALIBER just died one day. No crank - No Start. But lotsa power - just no crank. You wouldn't believe what it was traced to - and WHERE! But I guess we were lucky it wasn't the starter - cause it's buried worse than the relays! #dodge #caliber #relay #fuse #nocrank

Thanks for this video brother. I had just fixed my 2009 Dodge Caliber SXT yesterday. Same damn issue. I was like, "why did Dodge ever put that relay box below the headlight?" Nonetheless, this video helped my fixed the starting issue. Cheers from Calgary.

So I'm trying to find this on the parts store. There is on multipurpose relay..that is the switch? But there is only one.. am I supposed to get 3? My auto store people are saying my car has no starter relay lol

We only bought one as it was all corroded - but also had to repair the wiring that was also corroded. Check both carefully! Goof luck!

Hi, I have a 2010 Dodge caliber mainstreet. My TIPM relay box on driver side behind light has 4 relay. I bought it used for $1000. There is spits for 6 relays. Should I put relays in missing spots?

4 is right - the other spots are empty slots wit no connections. Good luck with it!

Hi. Are the relays for Canada different form the ones form US? The pins seem to be in different position. Great video btw

Most are in this spot on this model car, as I've seen in other vids. The relay is pretty standard for this application.

@@DannebergAcres Checked, it is the same, My 2010 caliber sometimes starts sometimes just won't, The main relay had a little green, just a bit, do you think that could be the problem?, I already ordered a new one to replace it, let's see.

I just tried this on my 07 caliber. Swapped pcm then found a no start issue. Pulled the relay and sure as shit all corroded to the point the fin fell off. Wired in a new reciever put in 2 new relays. Still no start. Shop only had 2 relays. Ordered another 2 and replace all 4. Hoping thats going to do it. Do you have any idea what the slots are running. I keep hearing that top corner spot is the ignition circuit, but what are the other ones running?

From what I recall the others are for the rad fan Motor speeds.

@@DannebergAcres so Ive ended up swapping out all 4 new relays. Tried with old and new pcm. Still have no start. Any other ideas that cause a no start? No codes when I scan.

@@Fiftyflavoursofbree lol I ended up taking her to the shop. The explanation was confusing but they ran a new wire from the tipm to the pcm and everything works now. Was a fairly cheap fix. Dodge however told me the pcm was bad... Pcm was fine and still running the original
