Inline skating is dangerous. In some situations, I may choose to skate
without protective gear at my own risk. I highly encourage the use of protective gear.

I checked every skate park in the area on Google maps and not a single one had a bowl or anything like it, bummer! Considering there were zero when I was a kid, nearly every suburb has a skate park now so that's some silver lining.

Grinding is very fun but I’ve always felt it was overrated. People think that’s all skating is. It’s getting better the last few years but back in the day that’s all People would ever do is grind grind grind! Those frames are awesome :)

Ya I agree! Don't get me wrong I love grinds but there is something so pure about just flowing on blades too!

great video! I'm usually at the park at 6Am and am constantly reminding myself that it is just me out there. Nice session!

Dang 6am! That's early to skate! But good on you for getting out there that early. I bet you never see anyone else there at that time.

@@ThirtyandRollin We have a 15 month old so I try to go while my wife and baby are sleeping. It gives me a good hour and a half at the park. Been doing a lot of early morning trail rolls on rockered 3 wheel setup. Rockering changed the game for me when it comes to fitness skating!

I can't grind, not yet at least, so ideas on how to use a skatepark without grinding is what I need, to maintain some progression. Great vid 👍

This park looks fun. Been down all summer from a back injury. Craving a bowl bad. Was thinking hood river (never been saw in your video) but now this place might be where I go to if the fires allow.

Been going in and out of aggressive skating. Having learned makio, soul and mizou, I discovered just how fun park skating is. However, I find myself always going back to freeskating. Feel it's the most liberating form of inline skating. Enjoyed your video! Your channel is growing nicely 😁
@ThirtyandRollin

Ya free skating is just well freeing! I think we all go back to what we did most in our past. It's a feel good/ nostalgic thing. I am truly shocked and blessed with my sub growth. I just hope my growth can help the blading community at large.

Well, you said it best when you said it was a fun session. That's all that matters! If i remember correctly you said once that you haven't done that much rockered skating so that's quite a jump you have made going to 5 wheel rockered! What an interesting frame and a great idea to have it fit on a freeskate/urban skate. I'd love to support Leon and get a Wizard frame but $400 for a frame is not in my range right now. Interesting how you feel the middle wheel is very pronounced as a pivot point on your frame. I wonder how the 5 wheel wizard frames are in comparison as they have a very slight or "natural" rocker. Right now I am liking the Endless 90 but it does ride a little high because it is a dual purpose frame that can take 3x110. I have skate 4X80mm rockered which is really only good for slalom (for me). I play ice hockey and I find 4x80 with a rockered frame even too twitchy for roller hockey! I like my K2 R100 rockered frame on my UFS Unnatural boot but it does feel heavy. Crazy fast for skate park but the length does provide stability. Mad props to Todd, Joey and Leon for what they can do at a skate park with big wheel rockered set-ups! And good for you for trying something different at the skate park! Just keep rollin!
@ThirtyandRollin
@ThirtyandRollin 3 года назад
Thanks! I am right there with you. I have always wanted to try the Wizard frames but it's a tough buy in because I never knew if I would like a rockered setup. I also really like the fact that these are the classic freeskate 2 point mount. I am not a huge fan of aggressive boots on bigwheels since they are usually heavier and bulkier. But sometimes it's nice for a bigwheel park sessions. I have not tried the K2 R100 frame but that was on my list of wants. But after rolling these NN Skate Dragon frames for a bit I think my next frame may be the NN Skate Ronin frames for longer cruises. All this being said I am just happy skating is at a place where you can try new things and see what fits your personal style and interest. It is a far cry from the 90s where everything was small wheels and all about grinding. And if you weren't aggressive skating(grinding) you were not accepted by the inline skate scene. Cheers!

@@ThirtyandRollin Those NN Ronin will satisfy any need for the k2 R100! And it is great to see the inline skate community more accepting of the different disciplines. The last thing we need is bladers hating on other styles of blading!

Hello, my friend. First of all - you bring a lot of stuff to the skatepark :D I used your advice last week and brought my 4x90 big wheel setup to a skatepark. They have a decent natural rocker as I did only rotate but not switch wheels on purpose. Tried riding a big vert halfpipe just to realize how unfit I actually was! They roll so fast and legs just can't hold the pressure going down. Overall felt like the first time skating :) At the same time, I see the potential in it - so much flow, air time (if you can handle the landings) slides, manuals, etc. I will grab a set of new wheels (without a rocker) and do it again. Thanks for inspiring!
@ThirtyandRollin
@ThirtyandRollin 3 года назад
Thanks awesome! Yes it does require a bit more stamina to hold the speed but is fun because you can just flow and not keep push for more speed. And yes I do bring a lot with me :)

I just got home from skating, and watching this made me want to skate more (but it's passed midnight haha). I too am hesitant to try tricks when I'm on my own for the same reason, and also no one else to hype me up.

Nice vid man, I always enjoy watching your new stuff when I get down time. I'd love to try out a skate park - never done it before but it looks like a good time. Have you skated those NNs on the street very much? What do you think of them? I kind of want to get a 4x90 set of those or the endless frames when I can.
@ThirtyandRollin

Ya I have don't a lot of street with them. That's where they shine with all 5 wheels. I haven't been on endless frames yet but those look awesome too!

Do you get any squirrelly feeling when skating these at speed on longer downhills?
@ThirtyandRollin
@ThirtyandRollin 3 года назад
A bit but I can handle that better since the turns at speed going down hills are much more subtle and the roads are flatter than what you find in parks.
