The temperament, from what I can tell, determines how your creature acts obviously, but also how they respond to commands. My carnivore, when I point to an area, will walk over, and about a second later will either mine or dig for resources, or hunt prey. My carnivore is fairy small, maybe twice the size of my guy, so it went after the small prey animals, when they were all dead, it actually started chasing a huge 4.5 m tall thing. My albino, horned cow thing, will either mine for resources, or scan the area.

I have a problem with anatomy mutations. When maxing out the mutation to 150%, your creature stops mutating. Like, taking the resulting offspring and doing the 150% again, nothing changes or very little changes. Then, after that generation. Any mutations at 150% in the anatomy will be the same, unless you lowball at like 50%, then the creature “reverts” back a bit to the original species. Like, the mutation system isn’t as big as it’s hyped to be(well, in the anatomy category at least). You are far better running through multiple planets for a specific looking creature, because of this limitation/oversight with the anatomy modifier in the egg machine. Additionally, creatures at max mutation with the anatomy modified at 150% tend to look like each other. You can get one one dog like creature from one planet, and another from a different one. Put nuke them through the anatomy, and the resulting creature will look very similar.

For me the most "FUN" way of getting nanites is killing Sentinels. Not the most efficient but it is fun.

I think that to make pets more likely to do stuff for you like give you resources you need to increase their helpfulness stat. If you see a pet as "playful" then that pet is not helpful.....their traits behave like a bar split in half with three traits from three sets of opposites. A pet can go from playful to helpful....increase helpful stat is the same as decreasing playfulness. Decrease playfulness bellow 0 and you get a positive helpful stat. Like tug of war but with stats. The other two sets are gentleness/aggression and independence/devotion. I'm not really sure if there are any real positives to having playful or highly independent pets. I've got to figure that a highly helpful and devoted pet will do the most for you. As for gentleness vs aggression I can see positives to both. Have a devoted, helpful, and aggressive pet I suspect will jump into battle for you and protect you....destroy other predators, hazardous flora, or even fight sentinels. Have a gentle pet when going around peaceful planets so it doesn't run rampant killing all the peaceful creatures there.

last night, my mutated baby started spawning as a new variant of that breed! I spawned my mutated baby, which terrifies me btw, at the space anomoly, went back down to the planet where I got the original papa & there were now adults of my scary mutated baby running around the planet. I then, adopted an adult of the mutant, so, im going to mutate his egg and see if even MORE variants show up!

I prefer di hydrogen jelly for the colour. And I hate to say this but the gene splitter always gave me that shark head no matter how many times I gene split. I either bounced between the original head or the shark head no matter how many times I split it. Well, among the 3-4 times I gene split it in a row. Never got anything new other than those 2 versions, same with robots. I think the best thing to do is to find a creature you like the style of and try recolouring and changing its size and temperament, because I think gene splitter does not give much variety at all. Far less than what you can find on planets themselves.

I wish the Roly Polys were tamable. Perhaps they will patch to make them both tamable and ridable. Especially since the main character in Disney's the Last Dragon rides a giant Roly Poly.

In VR you can use your multitool while riding if you manage to have it out when youre riding it. Its pretty fun to ride around blasting stuff.

hmm... I wonder if dosing the egg multiple times with a stat booster can get the baby maxed out in the stats you want without having to breed like 3-4 generations.

I haven't had any success in making anything larger. Info says ifs bigger and heavier but no visible difference

Just an FYI Sodium will make them get larger too!

Did some more testing and found that no matter the element used for growth it will increase the height by 0.5 with a 100% dosage, and the max height ( for my flying crab as it is what I used for testing) appears to be 12m it was at this point the sequencer would show only “ inherited” when putting in an element. I should note that the parent is only 6m.

Some of the things we can do in this game are brilliant there's something for everyone, can definitely spend alot of hours in this game easily

Is there a way to make the egg/offspring of an already modified creature, bigger again? Growth hormone slot on the egg of a modified creature only says inherited.

I really don't get this gene splitter thing!? I used different materials, with different values (50%, 66%, 100%, 150%), on different pets (T-Rex, Dogs, Cats) and each pet has always the same offspring! The T-Rex has ALWAYS an offspring with the same horns and the same scales on their backs. The Dog always turns into a cat-like creature and the cat only changes its' tail!?!? What am I doing wrong?!

There seems to be a bug with colouring (I'm on xbox). The child changed colour as I expected. But then the parent did too. And some random creatures on the planet started looking coloured like the child also. Like some kind of colour changing virus. Weird. I'm scared to try new colours on the siblings in case I lose my bone white offspring. 100% aggressive. Armoured on all 3 connection points "dinosaur" but looks more like a six eyed demon. Haven't found anything he couldn't kill and eat. Baby Gek bleed green BTW.

i can only hold about 6 eggs no matter where i store them backpack/ship/storage container at that point the pets wont lay eggs... anyone else getting this or is it just me
