Hey Captain Steve ! I've been playing around with these tricks for the past few days now, total game changer! I found that enlarging objects that require power connection wont work (teleportation terminals for example)..but I wasnt sure if you knew this part or not... if you place a down scaled cuboid box onto the power point and power the box..it actually works like a retro fitted electrical adapter... ive got a teleportation terminal as big as the one on the anomoly working this way 😁
I use that glitch a lot but never by using a wire first. I just resize a object, build it. Select the object i want to resize, hit squar and triangle, duplicate then hit triangle and R2. I don't understand what the wire is for.
thanks. the wire works, but this comment made me realize what u were saying even worked, seems a lot easier and it worked my second or third try. now i got a nice small portal lol
Such a great glitch, I've been using this a lot on my Builds. I'll try it on the Storage Vaults later, the tiny Teleporter is great, made one yesterday. All Builders should learn this, probably best to not go overboard with the big stuff, too much may make the Game struggle. I learned this and a lot more from Beeblebum, a great Builder. Thanks for showing this to people, the more that see it the more can use it.
Normally graphics cards don't care about large objects, which just hide other more complex objects behind them, which then don't have to be rendered. No idea if nms's is "normal" though
Hey, this works on Freighter parts being built into a land base (although a way to scale by an exact fraction would be handy). Although the graphics glitching I'm seeing on the Galactic Trade Terminal is bizarre.
You are so amazing at explaining things but unfortunately you only show Xbox versions not PC or PlayStation as well. AND no one out there really explains what key they are using when explaining how to do this, They assume we know exactly what key they are using. You go the extra mile so to say. well not all the way but you get my meaning. So after watching this vid about 20 times I think I've figured out what the Pc version of the keys (I think) Are. I have gotten the wire sized up and down, but haven't successfully scaled up or down and placed an un-scalable item yet. Thanks for at least trying.
I use it to make small plant domes one beside the other all growing plants, it's mush easier to just go by and hit that collect all plants button on each and you get quite the yield, better than planters
It might work if you set up a wire snap point. The size mismatch with my huge dome was an issue. Hmm... did you know the domes snap onto Freighter rooms?
Can this glitch or any part of it be used to make the "large tyre" larger.. the ones like on your truck in the video. I want to make a really big vehicle but even though this part is resizable...I need it LARGER. love the video, thanks..
@@CaptainSteveVPT I tried it last night with The Wire glitch. Where you make a wire larger and copy and item. And it makes it bigger. I could do this with items that were not resizable. But the tire always came out the same size so I guess you cannot do it with items that are already resizable. . if you find a way, please let me know.
instead of the elf on a shelf captain steve has a gek, korvax and a vy'keen on a shelf hehehehe freakkin ace captain ill practice this too theres a lot of items id love to make very huge and colored up too mix n match zies and colors i hope this works with the trophy planet items too like the ossified stars and spine shells those would look freakkin awesomes too.
same idea. translate to keyboard. Though of note: Picking things up to move them seems to often delete the item behind your target, so I recommend not picking them up if they're on the rack or the whole thing might disappear (no refund of materials either). AND I don't think the dudes stay resized; though I've used other methods to shrink/grow my consoles, so maybe the wire trick has slightly different results - or maybe consoles simply behave differently (I'm on PC too).
