How much space around a person is required to have a non abort don't give up launch? When you were on the ground you have the option to stop and start over and I would play it as many times as I could before I had to get off of the ground on something that wasn't quite perfect.

The answer to that depends on so many things, type of takeoff, wind speed, pilot experience, wing, etc. If you look at really good pilots, they can takeoff from places where the takeoff is literally smaller than the wing

@@AndreBandarra1 I still think if you are starting off and you are on the ground and you are not doing well you need to abort and start over completely don't keep trying to recover these things if you don't have the ground handling skills that these professionals do. If you're wrong and you could have recovered it all you had to do was just set it up again and launch. If you refused to abort a launch and get off to a bad start with the wing not over-the-top of you it can be pretty wild.

@@AndreBandarra1 yeah I agree with you the death rate is not high enough in this sport and we aren't killing enough new people. There would just be no sense at all and coming up with some numbers between all the experienced pilots about how long and how wide a place you need to launch safely from as a beginner pilot. Myself I think I need 100 foot square no trees no brush nothing. That's going to be the standard number from now on everybody get out there if you're building a launch site for new pilots make it at least 100 ft square.
