Yep. When I was young and dumb I liked it loud along with loud music. Being older and smarter now ( hopfully) I like it quite so I can hear my talk radio and learn some stuff. Lol.

I have had the Bam 8 with resonator on my 2015 DC for a year and have been thrilled with it! I was really worried about this exact scenario that I would get tired of it in town or my family would hate riding in the truck. Keith answered all my questions and directed me to the 8" system and he was spot on. There are days I would actually like the 6" system but think the 8 is the best daily driver option.

I’m with the “ now that I am older....” As a teenager and into my twenties give me cherry bombs! ... now I just want the smooth, deep rumble of a V8.

I had the 12” BAMuffler installed on my 2019 after reading all the posts and talking to Keith. While it is quieter than the 6, 8 or 10”, it was still too loud at low speeds for my liking. This is because, like your dad, I am also retired and no longer want a loud ass truck. Just some V8 rumble. So I get it. But Keith guarantees satisfaction on his stuff so he had a 14” made for me and it is much more likeable. Having said that, if Keith would be willing, I would even like to try a 16” or 18” although I don’t think he has ever made one that large. I am however keeping my stock system in the shed in case I get tired of it.

I put dual exhaust on my last truck and loved it until I towed my camper with it. The loud noise while towing was horrible and gave me a headache. Live and learn is what its all about.

Excellent insight as always. I fell in love with the sound of this V8 when this generation Tundra first debuted. After buying my first Tundra 2019 Limited, and driving it at different speeds, I’d say I ‘m satisfied with the stock exhaust. The rumble is there just enough to remind you what’s under the hood, yet not too loud to annoy you. Perfect for my taste anyway.

Going back through videos and I have to say thank you for it and it still sounds good on my tundra. Still wish it was louder but it is an awesome sound thank you both. Will be down to island beach soon

My exhaust is stock on my 5.7 2014.. sounds like a Big throaty V8.. i keep thinking i want the TRD pro Exhaust, but then I think id get sick of the noise after a few months because im not 20 anymore and wish i had the stock exhaust and my 1000 bucks back... IDK..

I used to pull our 25’ travel trailer with a 2011 Nissan Titan, and the drone and rasp of the exhaust (with an AirAid CAI) got to be annoying on long trips. I much prefer the (stock) exhaust note of my 2017 Tundra Limited, it sounds much more refined and quieter. Pulls a lot better than the Titan as well!

I combined the BAM resonator magic stick with the stock muffler. Sounds the same as stock when under power, but it's blissfully quiet like a Lexus when not. No joke, after I put it on, I was giving someone a ride and she wondered if the motor died. It's that silent. At 45mph and 65+mph the only things audible are tires, the mirror wind sound, and sometimes depending on the weather the driveline can be heard spinning. There's a tiny bit of hum at about 55. The weird part is that it makes the rain sound really loud.

I have gone to a quieter exhaust before. Not on my Tundra, but on my older '98 T100. I had a Magnaflow race muffler installed. It was raspy, loud, and sounded great in tunnels. But then my son was born. The truck was actually loud enough, that it would on a regular occurrence, wake him up. So I had the exhaust redone, with a large magnaflow chambered muffler. Still sounds great, but at about 1/3 of the volume.

I upgraded my muffler to a magnaflow (PN: 12198). Sounds great, but get the loud, buzzy drone at 1800 to 2000 rpms. Terrible for road trips. Can dumping the exhaust help with drone? Pros and cons?

Put an intake on it. Makes a difference in sound under load, my tundra sounds awesome with a stock style parts store replacement muffler and a k&n intake

The 8 inch with no resonater does drone from 55-70 after 70 mph it is quieter than stock.

Electronic Cutouts , loud when ya want, stock when you don't.

I have a super 50 flowmasters on my 4.6 tundra and I think it's great... When I was charging across PA in the mountains it got annoying around 65, but I found speeding up to 70 or slowing down to 60 resolves that issue.

I liked the Bam8 on my 2017 but love the TRD on my MIGHTY 2019 PRO TUNDRA.

Can't say I've ever replaced exhaust because I didn't like it BUT I recently just changed the shock that I had after only 2 months. I have a 19 CM limited TRD off-road that I installed the RS9000XL on, I still believe that the RF shock was no good right out of the box and the online store wouldn't do anything for me unfortunately. Now I have the KYB MonoMax shocks and 100% love them ( little firmer then the stock Billy's but man did the handling improve A LOT )! I also agree about your statement about the TRD duel exhaust IMO best sounding exhaust for a Tundra. Now I just have to find the time to install my super charger.

Still think TRD Dual Exhaust strikes the best balance.

Would love to know which BAM your dad had that was too loud? I am looking into the 10 and 12 BAM.

I have a 2019 Crewmax and put a Borla Touring shortly after getting the truck. I took it off last weekend. The system sounded great when you get give a foot full of gas but just driving to work and back it was a little much. Also when towing, going up long hills and at some highway speeds it droned. The Borla system looks to be high quality and with the dual side exhaust it looked great. I want to figure a way to use the dual tail pipes with the stock muffler.

Corsa exhaust is my favorite.

I installed flowmaster 40 series on a V8 once and it sounded awesome until I had to drive for two hours straight... Haha. To the point it was annoying. Went with the TRD system for my Tundra and don't regret it at all. Good compromise in my opinion

Just got my 2019 platinum tundra and im looking to put the TRD PRO exhaust on it. Everywhere I look they want 1100 plus for them. Any ideas where I can find them cheaper.

What do you think is better Corsa sport for the tundra or trd

I want more of a big V8 sound than my stock 2007 gives, ive looked at the BA mufflers trd pro replacement, but my ram buddy keeps telling me that i could have a shop build me a system for cheaper than buying a BAM

Say now, you fellas gots to know you can change your noisy exhaust real easy, but when you marry a nice quiet gal who turns noisy down the road a few years it ain't so easy to make a change....

I sometimes watch guys with a crazy flowmaster super 40 or 44 series and sometimes wish I went outlaw series. But I'm 33 and get annoyed sitting at a light having to hear some Dbags bass.
