I just got a fifth generation ram a few weeks ago; the Bighorn/Lonestar edition. Even with the standard incandescent bulbs I can see fine through the back up camera. Yes I’m going to be putting LED bulbs in as much of this truck as I can. I already upgraded the headlight because it was like driving blindfolded, and I’m also upgrading the fog lights to amber LEDs. It’s probably because you have such a small space for the light to come out on that tail light design due to the blind spot warning system on this model. Very nice truck by the way
I just bought a 5th Gen ram Laramie and I agree the backup lights suck on on it and would like to install those lights you have but the link in the description is not working.
I’m debating on adding these soundoff lights to my truck for my storm chasing or buying the ZAutomotive Tazer system since I did the LED upgrade to all of the lights already.
Like your videos. I did the same mod on my 2019 Ram with a couple of 6 led lamps mounted just under the bumper with hood clamps for mounting lights at the rear of a Jeep hood. Also wired them into a harness adapter so if I ever have a problem, all I have to do is unplug them from the stock harness. Big improvement to backup lighting.
The stock backup camera is AMAZING in low light, there's absolutely no need to do this add-on. However, if you like to hangout in the back of your truck, then i can see the purpose.
I don’t know if you know but they make a T-tap for the rear plug so you don’t have to splice the wires. This way you don’t have to have any issues with adding additional lighting. I like those lights you put on. How much did you pay?
I’m not sure how much they’ll be selling them for, but shipping will be free if you contact Nate from 10-8 EVS. Check out my RBP Partners page for additional info: rambeastprojects.com/pages/partners
Love the video man. I might have to look into those lights when i replace my bumper. getting tired of the big flush mount bars i have in my bumper lol. no worries on the butt connectors. using soldering of the wires over time the solder can break due to vibration. I use weatherproof butt connectors for all my wiring jobs and haven't ever had an issue.
I have a few questions, if you can or will answer? Sorry not good at this, where can i get 2 sets of these lights? Is it better with backup cam, where to get those? And lastly with all the lights do you need a bigger battery, i ask this because am disabled and dont want truck to ever break down. Cant move like normal people but I love the idea of the lights Thanks again for awesome content
Hi Tim, you can get them from Nate at 10-8 Emergency Vehicle Services in New Holland, PA. Their info is on my website under RBP Partners. Check out the video descriptions in all my videos for important details like that. You don’t need an extra battery. Thanks for watching, my friend!!
I hated the output of the backup lights on my ram, I mounted 6inch light bars up under the truck, can even notice them unless ur down low and the light output is awesome now.
@@BEASTProjects ya its definetly a huge upgrade, wanting to install a light bar for the from but can find a way to do it behind the grille bc of the active shutters.
I've seen where people get the rough country kit and do it between the sensors on the bumper behind the little grille there but mine isn't mesh its solid and I can't seem to find a mesh one...
That's an awesome video , soundoff signal is my choice of lighting for my police upfits..love the mpower lights being there all rubberized...there the best and bright🚓🚔👍👍
So I just installed these same lights on my 2020 rebel and I noticed that on the 12'' screen they flicker but are constant when looking at them from outside, any idea how to fix this? Or is it just the backup camera/12'' screen and I am screwed?
Why did you decide to drill into the bumper? I just did this install using the same lights but mounted mine on the plastic lower fascia using the 35* wedge.
Ya, they're a great light - but for what he wanted to accomplish, a decent set of LED pods off Amazon could of been had for 30$ for both - just put two on our brush truck to accomplish this same project and it is just stupid bright!
