You should’ve looked at calibrated performance out of Rockford Illinois I have their tunes on my 18 3500 with emissions 500 hsp to rear wheels no trace once put back to stock mode they are able to bypass ecm security so no watermark left behind I have had it in for service and they didn’t say a thing

Hey man, I put one on my 2019 rebel after watching your video and doing some research. It was amazing for a few months but lately, anytime I take it out of stock it’s been causing 9 different OBD 2 codes. Have you had the same? They’re firing/timing/o2/auto parking brake codes.

I'm curious as to why anyone would choose to turn MDS off with any of these tunes? It only ever engages when there are no fluctuations in the throttle. So, if it's just a matter of better throttle response, I wonder if there's a better way.

MDS has the chance to mess up your engine stopping and starting cylinders some stick causing engine problems mds off your engine will last longer and less issues

@@jeffmiller4053 256,000 kilometers on the 5.7L HEMI in my 300C; and aside from a few minor paint chips from stones (easy to touch up) and signs that the front seats have been well used, you could rely on it like it was new. The key to maintaining an engine is to use good quality oils and spark plugs; and replace any worn belts before they become a problem.

Hello Steve, have you checked out the Alfaobd craze yet for 4th gen Ram's? You can change your internal BCM settings from halogen lights to make them LED or HID respectively. Once it's done, no need for resistors anymore. I changed over 16 perameters in my truck, also made the window roll down from my key fob... 😝👍

i am guessing the reason you "feel" the truck being more powerful is because there is more hp&tq in the lower rpm's. can't wait to get my edge pulsar for my 2019 ram 1500 classic.

See my channel. You will be super disappointed with the Pulsar. I took it off, sent it back to DisbloSport/ Edge. All it did were make the throttle MORE or LESS sensitive, nothing else. I've contacted Edge Motorsports for Dyno video's, nothing...crickets. Sorry you wasted your money...OH, you can hear my dog in the background too.

When you pulled the red levers you are supposed to push the small plastic button above the lever. Also you should be assisting the harness up/out while using the levers. They aren't designed for constant removal so just keep that in mind. Good video!

I put one in my 2019 Laramie with the 12 inch display and lost Sirius XP, back up camera, U Connect, Air conditioning and a lot more functionality. I removed the Pulsar and the functions did not come back. I had to go to the dealer to get the Computer re-flashed.

I had exact same problem with my Laramie, except after messing around to try to get it back to working with the Pulsar removed it started working again. Not sure what I did to get it back. I also broke one of the connector hoods trying to close it, so the advice in this video is great to keep some pressure on the hood as you close it back is great tip. Did you lose your warranty?

Has noting to do with pulsar. You loose those functions when you disconnect the battery. After a night of the truck being off. All Functions will restore themself

This is whats known as a piggyback tune, please research them and understand what they are and are not. What this tune does is nothing more than send the ECU false values to trick it into dumping more or less fuel or more or less throttle and shift points. What these tuners do is NOT throttle response, it IS throttle position. So when you press the pedal down the % of physical throttle you press translates to % of the butterfly opening in the throttle body. These, and most tunes do nothing more than increase that value. So 20% of physical gas pedal = 50% of physical butterfly in the throttle body. (What ever value they use) When you press the gas this module tells the ECU you are giving it more than you really are. This is why you see such a difference and say “oh it really goes”. Throttle RESPONSE is the lag between the gas pedal being depressed and the throttle body butterfly opening. With an electronic throttle there is little lag, honestly cable based throttle aint much difference unless you have cable slack. This does NOT help fuel mileage. What helps is the ECU making the use fuel and spark more efficiently. This may be what the efficiency mode does. But Performance should either use MORE fuel , or use whats there more efficiently. I have been considering this one BUT if you want a proper tune you want their ECU swap verson and the handheld device and then take it to a Hemi tuner. The fact that you are locked to the pre canned unknown tune is concerning. You 100% should be able to use the upgrade cable to do things. I am not hating on this device i think its cool but for not much more you can get the unlocked ecu swap and device where you can download real tunes online and load them. This you cant

That’s quite the impressive upgrade Steve and Hedy. Easier install than I thought it was gonna be. You guys should change out the grill for a nice black metal mesh one with led spots built in and do an upgrade. In my ol 13 duramax I always had my bullydog in performance. I’ll be doing efi live with a single 60 hp tune and a stock looking 3 gauge pod for trans, egts, and fuel pressure. I’ll do other mods to but for chip whose that’s what I’ll do 😎👍

Purchased one of these awhile back What was the issue you had with yours? I have a new battery in my truck Had alternator tested. My low voltage light comes on at random times. Local auto store said it was my starter and alternator bad at same time. Would the Pulsar cause this issue with the low voltage ? My cruise control doesn't perform well when the low voltage light started appearing as well. Thanks

I would just remove it before taking it in for service, although they still may be able to tell that it was installed.

Why not plug in the Pulsar first, take out a short bolt and replace it with the long bolt, one at a time? You might have to pull the Pulsar out a bit to get the short bolts out?

i guess you would have to take it out before you bring it to the dealer? Not sure if it would void engine warranty, or will it still show up on the pcm when they plug it in?
