I like how with no context Travis randomly telling a robot trying to shake his hand does make no sense. But if you played the last two games you're like "Oh, yeah perfect sense".
okay i got a question for you. i finished no more heroes 1 yesterday. i start 2 and kinda hate it. is the whiplash between the two just getting to me, does it get better?
The more I play this third game... the more I see Suda51 is a master of subtext. TSA and NMH3 are in a whole other level of writing, throwing normal conventions through the window. Yeah, I get that there wasn't much of Henry or the time traveling subplot, but it just goes to show how random his introduction to the series was. Besides, in NMH he is introduced like a joke to "explain" why Sylvia is the way she is, in NMH2 they learn to work together and destroy the bad guy, and now he is full on villain mode! Just like in the end of nmh2 where he says "we need to square our match one day". Making the vague connection to the 25Th Ward with his design and change of heart was incredible for me. Besides the whole idea is that Travis' personal rougue's gallery is mostly a joke, and that the other heroes who are in this MCU style of crossover are the least important heroes of his universe: Travis, Notorius, Shinobu, Mirai Scott, Kamui Urehaua, Midori Midorikawa, Charlotte and even Birkin in spirit. They are the "no more heroes" or "anti-heroes" as writing conventions will call these assassins. It's like a twist on the whole Killer7 concept. But you know.... with GODDAMN superheroes
No more heroes really is the Game where travis being based Rejects and kills a yandere Kills a ceo that wanted the pettiest revenge ever Literally uses a daemon x machina mech against Damon in a mech Literally does a jasper batt Jr on FU KILLS THE FINAL BOSS BY FIGHTING IT IN SMASH Fights his Friend's girlfriend but it's all okay because it was a misunderstanding
I know there's already concept art for a potential No More Heroes 4, but if they ended it with 3 I wouldn't be upset. It genuinely feels like the magnum opus of the series.
@@DragoonCentenI mean if something’s successful why not try to top it? Like Resident Evil didn’t need a sequel but we got one and they’re still considered great
@@zeldagameryt4018 2 and 3 are fun but they don't really hit the same like 1. Some things benefit from being expanded upon and other things feel like they're being milked.
@@DragoonCenten I mean after playing a bit of 1 after playing a bit of 2 I can get that impression. But I do like the new stuff added (playable Shinobu and Henry, new weapons, and the new devil trigger like ability) even if we lost some things in the process like the open world. But it doesn’t hurt to experiment with a project
No more heroes 3 is the best anime, mcu Game, film and superhero movie ever No really. It's a strangely funny , touching and moving story that has Travis kick every edgy boring villain protagonist in the face. Heroes aren't Bad at all
Two reasons 1. In NMH 2 she was already 65 years old, NMH3'S events happened 9 years after that, so her age was around 74 years old, the only way to stay alive to continue supporting Travis is by transfering his brain & thoughts to a tree. 2. She's a skill tree (get it?)
Just wanted to say I love some of the jokes that the editing has created here, like how the cilp of Travis asking "Are you guys aliens?" immediately cuts to Damon saying "That's what everyone says before they get killed", or how the conversation between FU and his subordinate then cuts to the subordinate getting decapitated.
After finally finishing III + loving it the most (even more than 1, as much as I love that one), I think we can finally say: There will never be another series quite like NMH ever again. What an amazing trip these were, Suda. Still gotta finish killer7, but damn the NMH games were just pure fun.
@@_blood_moon_proto_1500 you clearly don't know how time consuming and painful to your own image it is to sue someone. Disney has no love or care for franchises who are not originally theirs. Pursuing a lawsuit against an obscure Asian game developer would be incredibly useless and harmful to their squeaky clean company image. Besides, it's not like he is saying "you are like Darth Vader" to someone. He is simply making a vague allusion to a movie's title. If the line said "it's just like that movie: Empire Strikes Back" than I'm sure it would be censured. Want an example? Jeane said the name Piccolo and it's censured, much like FF6 and FF7 (even if those games' names are not censured in the Japanese dub for some reason). If this explanation is not enough, I don't know what to tell you. I'm no lawyer
People has well-fundamented reasons the hate this game. -It looks "bad" -A ton of cut content -How Bad Man was threatened But it still is a great fucking game, even better than TSA & NMH 2
Gameplay wise: because she's a "skill tree" heh, get it? Lore wise: Naomi has 63 y/o in No More Heroes 1, and 66 in NMH 2. TSA happens 7 years after NMH 2, if you do the math she'll have 73 at that point, and 75 in NMH 3. I'm pretty sure she didn't want to die and decided to transplant his brain and conscience into a cherry blossom tree to keep helping Travis somehow
She looked like THAT at 63?? Sounds like she was in pretty damn good health tbh. Feels a little drastic to "I Have No Mouth and I Must Scream" yourself if you're doing that well!
