We pay taxes... because they need someone paying interest on the money they "Loaned" from the Federal Reserve... Which is neither Federal... nor a Reserve. It is a privately owned central bank that has been given the power to print money. Nobody knows who owns it. They just place puppets at the front door to "run it".

I don’t think the current govnt is hostile towards crypto. Trump was very hostile and wanted to destroy Bitcoin by launching futures trading in 2018. Thats why Btc went from $20K down to $3k. But since Biden took office his Executive Order 14067 in 2021 says Congress must establish good crypto regulation that ensures the Innovation of digital assets in America. He did hire Gary genslar but everyone thought he would be good considering his background. But even tho genslar is a twerp I think he’s really just doing his job. 99% of crypto are unregistered securities and scams. CONGRESS are the ones not doing their job. But they finally did make some regulation and the reason Biden vetoed is because it gave banks too much freedom to control the market and price action. But it will get worked out. Income tax on capital gains is fine. Tax on your salarys and wages is not ok and it is being imposed ileagaly. Trump has the secret documents that prove the supreme Court struck down the income tax 14 hours after Congress past it into law. Trump will tax rich and poor at the same rate for any profit made above cost or above your wage compensation. If your paid 50 grand salary and you use your wages to invest,buy something, you have to pay income tax on the amount you earned above the cost. But never a single penny on the money you earn as a wage or salary. Wages and salarys are compensation for work done, there is no profit made so no tax is due. Take your saved wages and go buy anything you sell for more than you paid for it, the difference is a GAIN, and this what income is by law and by law the only income tax that is legal in this nation
"No more income tax" is only in the context of Federal income tax. In most US states, there's still state and local income tax. And these taxes could increase as a result of eliminating Federal income tax if tariffs do not cover enough .
Businesses are flourishing in the US. I’m proof. My business is in the events industry selling concerts sports theatre tickets and since the pandemic sales have been on the increase higher than ever before while prices are the most expensive than ever!! 2008-2011 was a crisis. THIS IS NOT. people only buy luxury items like concert tickets when their finances are good. But I do have some friends (some whom I’ve lent $$ to) complain about how hard things are right now while they’re ordering food from door dash or grub hub to deliver their $40 McDonald’s bill). And there’s some people who just want to believe that only their orange messiah can save them. Likewise businesses that are failing are probably because of bad business practices. Bear markets have a way of exposing and washing out the losers.
Eliminate income tax is a great idea. There are problems with this idea. Replace with Tarifs? How about an 5-10% flat Tax? Trump is always coming up with ideas. Has Biden had an idea lately? Did you see him at the G7 ?
There may be 0 income tax, but there will be a federal tax on all goods and services. You go to buy a car with a 15% tax (+ state tax)! They'll make their money. Anything that sounds good ... the gov't will sq;ueeze it out of us!
Zero income tax isn't such a crazy idea, 7 states already have that in place for a long time, they aren't bleeding tax paying population like high tax states like NY and CA. Maybe the US could learn a thing or two from low tax countries like HK and SG, not that those two countries are perfect, for example, their properties are crazy high due to bad policies but overall, their people live longer than people in the US.
Here is how to end income tax. Create a digital dollar (not a CBDC) with all the features of Bitcoin (no smart contracts) except the quantity starts out at a set amount and can only increase at a fixed percent per year. Miners earn mining rewards but all network fees go to treasury. CODE is WRITTEN INTO THE CONSTITUTION as an amendment. Holders can either hold their own addresses or in a bank or exchange. Fractional reserve banking eliminated. Account holders must specify if they want their dollars to be loaned out in order to earn interest. A warrant should be required to get any info on individual holders. Paper money can still circulate but must be issued on a one to one basis with digital dollars held in reserve by the treasury.
That is a novel idea, use tariffs to supplement our financial budget. that would work except greedy politicians will impose tariffs, lower taxes, then the administration after would slowly raise our taxes back to where we are at today, allowing them to spend like drunken sailors.

Most citizens want less taxes. However the masses have accepted paying income tax since WW2 so the govt elected will never let tax go… Citizen masses accepted doing all the free labor associated with figuring out how much unconstitutional ( post WW2) tax to pay.
