I kinda have a theory that they might come out with clothing packs and that's what the extra hangers are for or they just come with them because of the rainbow high closet and amiesy's doll set??

I love these two and in full honesty- I don't mind losing the second outfits, but like...why the return of the hangers now we don't have the second outfits- uhm...ok then But the accessories are pretty cute- good for photography. And I'm hoping that Novi Stars makes their stellar return
I will definately miss the second outfits, as that was a big draw for me when first getting into RH. I feel like SH Series 2 doesn't measure up to SH Series 1 or the Storm Twins for me, but Glitch and Rexx are my favorites in terms of accessories, which is my main reason for wanting Glitch, Rexx, and Monique (I personally plan on giving Veronica, Naomi, and Heather the phones and laptop from those dolls because those 3 take priority in my SH collection). As for Dia and Karla, those two still look a bit too weird to me, and it doesn't help that all the other purple SH dolls (Veronica, Naomi, Demi, Monique) are way prettier than Dia.
The thing about the RH/SH dolls vs Barbie is that their hair, makeup, and even skin colours are more fantasy-themed and distinct for each doll. That limits the outfit pieces a particular doll can wear, so I will miss the second doll-specific outfit. I'm glad I have some series 1 SH and Ainsley's clothes so that I have some neutral outfits. However, I am concerned about black clothes staining other dolls. I have no doubt that if clothing packs are introduced, they will be at least $12, considering shoe and purse packs were $10. So, what has actually happened is a 50% increase in the price compared to the 2020 dolls. The accessories don't come near to making up for that, in my opinion.
I wish they would come with a 2nd outfit and 1 small personal accessory that fits the character. Other than that Shadow High Series 2 is a really good line :D!
that seems like such a good compromise! i could definitely do without the hangers and more generic accessories for sure, having a second outfit and one item to go with each character would’ve been much preferred, even if that knocked the prices for them up a bit

I'll never stop saying novi stars is my favorite doll brand!! Their unique and a bit weird look make me fall in love more and more with them during 10 years.. I associate them with my childhood 🥺 I'd LOVE mga to re-release novi stars, that'd be the best thing in recent times for me, and Zooey gives me the hope🤞that's the reason I already adore this doll)
I wonder if these are specifically to compete with Monster High? The prices are similar, the "not human" looks are there, and they dropped the second outfit for plastic accessories instead
At least these dolls come with good fashion and heels, Zoey's shoes are straight out of MH wardrobe and I'm obsessed. Kinda embarrassing that MGA made these to rival MH and these look way better then G3 😂 (and I'm saying this a huge MH collector and I don't own a single RH or SH doll)

I just think it's an interesting choice to suddenly drop to the MH price range with similar plastic accessories instead of the second outfit... (I wish I could buy JUST RH clothes and accessories for my MH dolls, wish they made fashion packs)

I'm absolutely loving the new shadow high series 2 dolls. I love all of them, but right now glitch and Rex are my favorites! The alien girl with green skin is INTENSE! She obviously a middle finger at Mattel and their monster high dolls, but in a very unique and creative way. Yep, I'm gonna get them all! Great review!
I am okay without a second outfit I have so many RH doll clothes and am running out of space plus I want more accessories. Maybe they will do separate fashion packs which would be even better. Great price for the quality we are getting and I love my Zooey. Quality control seems to be much better with this wave of dolls.
My anxious self loves the fact that there are no second outfits... 1. Because I no longer have to think about which one imma display 2. Because it overall makes the doll cheaper and more affordable, plus the other outfit I didn't choose was just gonna live eternally in a box.
The editing was iconic I loved it. As for the dolls I loved the second outfits so I’m sad to see those go. In my opinion it is a fair price considering monster high is doing the same thing. Of course I wish both were $20 at launch
This is a really great series! Honestly with the quality of the outfits I don't miss second outfits. I think MGA just decided to put more budget into a single outfit rather than devide it between two outfits and the packaging. I hope they will be released in Europe soon. I'm getting Zooey for sure because I love alien stuff and I think I'll get Monique and Dia too. In my opinion Glitch is a little underwhelming, but that's me 🤷♀️
This! I think people forget to look at how detailed these dolls are. These are way more interesting than series 1 SH. Also, we've been spoiled by getting second outfits compared to what's on the doll market for the same price.
after months of thinking about it, ultimately i don’t mind the loss of the second outfit. i love restyling my dolls but the number of fashion pieces i dislike and ignore outweigh the ones i actually use and love. the difference in most series 1+2 clothing vs. series 3+4, SH1, and all the rainbowvision clothing is night and day. long story short: i prefer one all killer, no filler outfit over two outfits with only 2 good fashion pieces at best. i’d rather have a doll with manageable hair, 1 outfit where every fashion piece is high quality and a stand, over a doll with unmanageable hair and no stand. especially if they’re both $25 theft is also a huge possible reason why second outfits were cut. also the returned dolls with none of their original fashion pieces is becoming a common occurrence especially these past few months. lowkey wish they’d cut the combs already🚮

I wonder if people don't like Dia because she is the only one whose hair does not match her skin tone ... all the other SH dolls with color tinted skin have hair the same shade but Dia has a very striking difference between hair and skin. I personally love her face sculpt and will probably get her, but I'm not a real big fan of the tinted skin tones. But you convinced me to get Zooey; she looks so pretty out of the box! 🤍🌌

I love them all! I am hoping they will come out with fashion packs like they made for Barbie. I buy a lot of accessories from Allie Express and it can be hit or miss if the accessories are the right scale.

I got Zoey after I saw her on target once and was so stunned that I could not stop thinking about her lol. She is such a beautiful doll and I love how she looks next to Monique (who I got bc I was obsessed with her braided twin tails). Both dolls outfit are so top notch quality and I want to be both of them so baaad .😩 I feel like if RH/SH had gone this sort of scifi since the beginning I would’ve ate that shit up lmao. Anyways, my next buy is Glitch for sure
New lighting is great and I really liked the editing and the buddy system! I wish Glitch had separate shoes and leggings, but I agree that the one piece makes for a very sleek look! I like the accessories these ladies come with, but I do miss second outfits.
I have not been collecting Rainbow High/Shadow High but I have thrifted a couple of them. However, I think I may start with the new Shadow High dolls. They are amazing. Glitch makes me think of the Matrix. And I think the blue alien girl (I cannot remember her name) is my favorite. I hope she's also a hint to the re-release of Novi Stars. These dolls... I'm gonna need another tall shelf in my room, and I just got one for Christmas. Of course, that one is for Monster High. Thank you so much for this review. I love Glitch I’m just disappointed that they didn’t do her outfit and hair from the show. I just ordered chains and they arrive tomorrow so tomorrow after work I will be putting them in her hair. Rexx is also stunning and I ship him and Shanelle and they will be displayed side by side.

I've always wanted to collect dolls but i've been afraid of being judged as an adult wanting to have dolls. But seeing so many other adults collecting made me feel brave to start doing it too! I have a small collection and even started rerooting now!
For the tinsel problem, maybe you could try plucking the worst parts out? If you still want the tinsel in there, I think there are tinsel -like fibres you could reroot her with! But I do suggest taking it out if the tinsel is ruining her hair
I'm really sad that they changed the boxes. I loved being able to see the dolls through the side of the box. I like keeping my dolls in their boxes cuz I love how they look in the packaging. Because I keep them in the boxes I store them sideways so they don't take up a lot of space. I will just miss being able to see the dolls. Maybe I'll just take these ones out if the boxes 🙀
I love these dolls they are so beautiful and I really like that they come with hangers especially because I’m missing all of the hangers for series four, and the first release of shadow high. So I’m a happy camper, also I love the accessories, and I hope they do sell the fashion packs
I work at a department store and we do have a pair of shoes that have leggings built into them so Glitch's shoes do have a real life design counterpart.
Zoe is everything and I'm know I'm gona love that pink one with a fan agh so far so good!!! Sad that there no second outfits I mean come on its base dolls!
I wasn't sure about Zooey at first, but she's really grown on me, especially with new photos giving a better view of her face. Monique is definitely my favorite, and I'll probably go for Karla too since I really like her outfit. I don't really have strong feelings about the rest, so I'll probably skip them.
Definitely second outfits over teeny-tiny accessories. I love the second outfits on SH series 1. I’m going to make the accessories into a necklace or charm bracelet or a resin paperweight so they won’t just sit in a drawer.
The glitch doll is really dissapointing for me, I was excited for her to get a doll when she was first in the show but I was expecting her original look to be what theyd go with
I think this series is gorgeous ❤, I honestly find ironic that people are bothered by no second outfit, if Mattel made doll clothing with half the quality they get praises even without a stand or second outfit. Once I recover from Christmas I will totally get all of them.
I’m kind of sad the shadow high grey tone theme is kind of replaced by like colored skin Dolls because the old grey tone dolls were really cool but I still like the series 2 dolls
I'm probably just getting Karla, Monique, and Zooey Because I love their designs and accessories! I'm not a huge fan of Glitch's outfits it looks a little plain, same with her face, and I don't like the fact that her shoes are attached to her leggings, like if you wanted to take her leggings on, you'd have to find other matching shoes, they should've just to made her shoes separate

i personally wouldnt be mad if they took the second outfits from rainbow high too and gave them acsesories and i think they could make fashion packs of like clothes to go with the bags and shows but thats just me
I don't feel like Zooey fits in with the Shadow High theme as well as the others. But maybe she's an exchange student or something? Idk. She just seems to have a lot of color to be "shadow-ey"
They are definitely trying to compete with monster high with the new price point, but I do think these are worth the new price. I am going to miss the second outfits though. I’m glad this price point is more accessible and I’ll be getting all the dolls except dia. Fingers crossed novi stars returns! God I love Zooey. Her shoes are my favorite detail. I hope they go more into fantasy characters in SH. It’s difficult for my brain to accept strange, non human colored skin on “ human” dolls. I have no problem with fantasy characters tho. I’d like seeing different cultures’ paranormal and science fiction represented!
