John 3:9 Whosoever is born of God doeth not commit sin, for His seed, (the Holy Spirit) remaineth In him, and He can not sin because He is born of God. It is the Holy Spirit that lives in the believer that can not sin. But we still do. First John 1:8 If we say we have no sin, we deceive our selves and the truth is not in us. That is why Jesus had to die for us. We are all sinners. There is none righteous no not one. When we trust Jesus as our savior, He imputes His perfect righteousness to us, and will no more impute sin to our account. Romans 4:4-8. First John 5:13 These things have I written unto you that believe on the name of the Son of God, that ye may KNOW YE HAVE ETERNAL LIFE. John 3:18 Believers can never be condemned again, but unbelievers are condemned already because they have not believed on the name of the Son of God. Romans 6:23 For the wages of sin is death, (the bad news) but the GIFT of God is eternal life, through Jesus Christ our Lord. Since salvation is a free gift, then you have to do nothing for it but believe On Jesus as the only way of salvation by grace plus nothing. Romans 4:5-8; You can not add law/works to grace or it is no more grace, and the preacher of it is accursed. Galatians 1:7-9. Romans 11:6 It is all grace, not works.
This is a great synopsis, but I think his point is that you cant just "confess Jesus as Lord" and then continue to live life as if Jesus didn't exist. There is an undeniable inward change that happens in the new creation, and that change causes us to strive towards righteousness. But if the so-called Christian doesn't give a rip about righteousness then the question stands, is he/she really born again at all?
You can lose your rewards in heaven, but not eternal life. First Corinthians 5:5 Turn such a one over to Satan to kill the flesh so that his spirit may be saved in the day of the Lord. This was a born again believer, Ephesians 1:13, that was sleeping with his fathers wife. He was about to lose his life, and the rewards he could have had in heaven, (First Corinthians 3:11-21) but the man was still saved. God can not go back on His word. John 6:47. First Corinthians 3:15, only his works and rewards were burned up, but the man was still saved so as by fire. Romans 4:5. We are saved the second we trust Jesus alone apart from works for the free gift of eternal life. Our rewards in heaven are base on how we live and what we do after we have received the free gift of eternal life by faith alone. We are all living in sin to a degree, because we can not be made perfect in the flesh. If we could live without sin, then Jesus die for nothing. Blasphemy.
This is why the fruit inspectors get it wrong. Many live wonderful moral lives but never trust Jesus alone for salvation. They are not saved. Another man may accept Jesus free gift of eternal life and live like the devil, but is saved. You can not tell a book by its cover and the only way to know if some one is saved is to ask them the most important question. Do you know where you are going when you die based on what? If they start telling you about all their good works and how they do not sin as much as they use to, they are trusting in what they do to save them selves and not on what Jesus did for us. Matthew 7:21-23 They never did the will of His Father in heaven. John 6:40 and John 6:29.. The gift of God is eternal life, not a reward for good behavior. Should believers live right? Yes, for two reasons. For rewards in heaven and to keep from the chastening of the Lord. But living right never saved one person. Romans 11:29 For the GIFTS (eternal life) and the calling of God, (John 12:32) are without repentance. Irrevocable, can not be changed back. Once you become a child of God you are a child of God forever, whether you are an obedient child , or a disobedient child. John 1:12 When you were born into this world, your father is your father forever. When you are born into Gods family your are a child of God forever. Ephesians 4:30.
We do not confess Jesus as Lord for salvation. We believe the gospel for salvation. First Corinthians 15:1-4. Lordship salvation is a counterfeit gospel of works for the free gift of eternal life. John 6:47 Verily, I say unto you, he that believeth on me HATH EVERLASTING LIFE. If the gift of God is everlasting life, then you can not lose it or it would not be everlasting life. First John 5:13 These things have I written unto you that believe on the name of the Son of God, that ye may know that ye know that ye know ye have eternal life. John 10:28-29 And I give unto them eternal life, and they shall never perish, neither shall any man pluck them out of my hand. And my Father who is greater than all, no one can pluck them out of HIs hand. Double eternal security by a one time faith alone in Jesus alone apart from works for the free gift of eternal life. No one can earn it. And once you have it you can not lose it. It is eternal life. Not temporary life, or probationary life, but eternal life. Once you believe it you are saved forever, even if you never believe it again. Second Timothy 2:13. If we believe not, (after we have once believed and are born again, Ephesians 1:13) He can not deny Himself, His Holy Spirit that lives in all believers. If you keep the faith thru trials and tribulation you will have a reward in heaven. If you lose your faith you are still saved. We can do nothing to save ourselves. Romans 11:6. You can not add works to grace. Oil and water. You can not mix the free gift of eternal life with disciple ship which is for rewards in heaven. What have your churches been telling you. Apparently not that the GIFT of God is eternal life. Romans 4:5-8. You can not go to hell if Jesus paid your sin debt in full, past, present, and future sins we have not even thought of yet. Paid in full. No longer condemned. John 3:18. John 3:16 Jesus said it, we believe it, and that settles it. I am a WHOSOEVER, THEREFORE I HAVE ETERNAL LIFE. GODS WORD. AND HE CAN NOT LIE.

We may look good in the eyes of men, but not before God. Romans 4:2 We can justify ourselves before men by good works, but not before God. We can only be justified by faith alone apart from works. Romans 4:4-8. You either have eternal life right now, because you are born again, Ephesians 1:13-14, or you are not saved. All your good works can not save a sinner. Keeping Gods laws can not save sinners. Galatians 2:21 Acts 16:31

One born of GOD does not sin, that’s how GOD sees us, yours sins are blotted out, once u receive the spirit you are blameless, even if you go kill somebody today, so even if you sin today, it’s not held against you, because of your faith in the son, now when u actually believe this, it should make u grateful and make u not want to sin but serve GOD because of his GOOdness
