John Piper is my favorite teacher of God's Word. I wish I would've started listening to him when the Holy Spirit prompted me, which was years before I finally did.
incredible Words of God that were spoken through John Piper. SO much richness and precious truth that I was not aware of until now. I am blown away by Deut 29-30 and Romans 10:6-8! May I be ever willing to make God my LIFE, looking to Him as my greatest treasure, and He will do it.

@@Cinderellabella The Law Jesus is referring to is the Law that was given to Moses by God on Mt.Sianai ..the 10 commandments. Of course..they are still in effect..but God told the people at that time Not to add to or subtract from those commandments. the people did and that was what Jesus found when He Came..Pharisees teaching the commandments of Men and ignoring Gods commandments. The only commandments we are required to Obey is Gods Commandments..Not Mens. I Obey the OT Commandments and those that Jesus Gives in Matthew 5 6 7. Those are Gods Commandments.

I have a daughter who struggles with your point.. She can't see the forest through all the trees.. it takes the Spirit of Jesus to see that the law came to define sinful man as imperfectly perfect.. and that no man can perform Jesus as Man.. came to do what none of us can.. this doesn't nullify the perfect law.. but if Jesus (not the Law) is your greatest treasure you will find His Spirit supernaturally replacing the breaking of laws with passionate pursuit of pleasure for Christ.. and the Spirit of Christ cannot dwell where self will resides Either the Spirit umpires or self will calls the play.. Jesus simply says get the Root right and the fruit will follow.. if you get it the other way you will live a legalistically defeated hellhound existence.. you never trusted Jesus as Saviour.. but as fire insurance and you falsely believe that you made the monthly payment on your policy

Roman's 7:21.."I find then a law, that evil is present with me, the one who wills to do good." Paul framed the human condition in chapter 1 starting with the first brick.. verse 18. PAUL then carefully mortars the rest of the building until verse 20 of chapter 7 There is the capstone in verse 21..please do not miss it.. it perfectly describes our struggle with the Law There are literally hundreds of thousands of "christians" like yourself still struggling to define themselves by the law. No person can keep it and trying only makes Jesus' death irrelevant My point is Christ defines Himself as the LAW kept perfectly..and we are in hidden in Christ You can not know EVERYTHING perfectly ALL the time and that's why true believers are being lead by the Spirit.. Chapter 8 The most unloving Christians I know think they can walk between good and evil and when they fail they give their failures to Jesus and just keep trying Verse 21 says that the one who wills to do good is actually failing.. and committing the vilest of evil. Those who do this are actually chained to their own dead fleshly body

Whoops no sex is about the word of God. And we all struggle daily with sexual immorality and abominations, that is why we need the Spirit of God. I have a feeling you have not read the whole entire word of God for yourself and then meditated and prayed to Him to show you the way to the truth and the light. So if you'd like I can get all the passages out of the word where it explicitly tells you that to lie with anyone else, unless male and female and married, is a sin, and you will be thrown into the Lake of Fire if you can't stop your lusting desires. P.s. I was a pansexual bisexual and spent my whole entire life trying to prove Christianity wrong while trying to find god it every other religion until the spirit of God came upon me.
