You certainly chose the first volume of Jojo's bizarre adventure It's pretty confusing but the stories are divided into parts, and the parts into volumes. Part 1: Phantom Blood Part 2: Battle Tendency Part 3: Stardust Crusaders Part 4: Diamond is Unbreakable Part 5: Golden Wind Part 6: Stone Ocean
and also you can find parts based on who's on the cover (I think) like Johnathon jostar is the person on the cover of the one you have which is the right one
So excited for you to read Alice in Borderland! Highly recommend the netflix live action show too. Its so good. I have been wanting to read Yona of the Dawn. I have up to 10 but I can't start it yet because I can't find volume 1.
I absolutely loved the Chronicles of the Bitch Queen!! It's one of my favorite series, like 10/10 can't wait to read them again. I hope you enjoy them!
Skellig is such a throwback! Read it in Year 7 I think and it was such a weird book😂 The Agatha Christie reprint is so annoying. Hopefully we can manage to complete our collections before they stop printing them🤞
I'm in the middle of collecting yona and on vol 4. And to make sure you don't get a second volume again, make a List of the mangas you have and then write the volumes that you are missing. That what I do.
Quite a haul ! I’m always impressed by how much you’re able to get over the course of a few months lmao. As for the Jojo manga confusion, I get it, I’m a Jojo fan and it was very confusing the first time I got into it. As I’m sure others have explained, Jojo is split into parts, with its most recent part being part 8. Then you have the volumes within that part. So, essentially, you’ve got the right one ! Part 1 is the VERY beginning of the series and the catalyst for everything that happens after, so you’re fine ! Very excited to hear your thoughts on everything you’ve mentioned !!
23:52 oh wild, I have the US paperbacks of this series and it’s called “chronicles of the bitch queen” I wonder why it’s not the same in UK 😂 why did they change it to wolf 🤣
Agatha christie recommendations - see if you can guess another Miss Marple: A Murder Is Announced A Caribbean Mystery Murder At The Vicarage Nemesis A Pocketful of Rye The Mirror Crack'd And how about some non-Poirot and non-Marple ones - though in the BBC Marple series at least they made some of these a Marple story, made her an acquaintance and then a partner in the detectives from the book (having an old lady with connections to Scotland Yard on your side can be extremely useful - some find old ladies easy to talk to, and people never really notice them or never see them as much of a threat so they're not always careful around them): Endless Night By The Pricking Of My Thumbs Towards Zero The Pale Horse Why Didn't They Ask Evans?
I'm gonna try to get the broken binding version of the bone season. It is gorgeous. Also, the adult owlcrate book was masters of death so I feel like a patreon buddy read is necessary since I'm sure it is on many people's lists
I've heard nothing but good things about The wolf of Oren Yaro. And those RJ Barker books look fab! I still need to read the same Fairyloot books, but in the meantime they sure look pretty on my shelves 🤣
Yes that was a really great blog again. Made note of a few books. Reading food truck it's a manga so funny has recipes and protagonists that is hungry all the time and a older man who goes round in a food truck collecting ingredients to cook for said girl. Love it only 3 volumes .
Oh heck yeah! Remember the manga I recommended, the Seeds of Anxiety? It was made by the same mangaka who did PTSD Radio. They're about the same in format
Oh boy, I remembered that I have two copies of Subcutanean. They're supposedly unique, made with seeds intended only for me. I should read them and then compare with your copy
Threads that bind is amazing. Love the setting, the atmosphere, the depiction of the relationship of the three sisters. It's one of my faves of the year.
Hi Gavin. I too picked up SUBCUTANEAN, version 30287. I thought each copy was unique. So I was surprised to hear you call out the same #. I went back and read the back of the book and it sounds like that we both got the same 'seeded (30287) copy.' I thought each book was unique and maybe that's my fault for not reading/understanding clearly ... 🤔 😅😊 Either way, I'm saving it for next month and can't wait to read, as well hear YOUR review. Thanks and take care!!
Yes! Please be safe when you read No Longer Human. It's incredible and you can find videos here on RU-vid to learn more about Osamu Dazai's life (I did this after I read No Longer Human). It's an incredible novel but it's brutal and I took a breaks between chapters (I took a week to read it on purpose). Please tell me you have heard of the manga Old-Fashioned Cupcake! It's an older M/M slow burn romance. I adored it and you need something SWEET (like you!)
I'm excited because I am reading uzumaki this month!! I really want to read northranger too so I hope you like it. I enjoy sports anime and need to read the manga at some point. As an ex-basketball player, I'm very much looking forward to slam dunk. Ahh I have the lost whale now and will be reading it soon I hope. Finding bear was a surprise to me too. Jean Menzies
you have the correct volume for jojos bizarre adventure! just as a warning though, at the end of that volume there is an interview from the creator looking back at the start of the series. he says a MASSIVE spoiler so please avoid reading that!! i am excited to see your thoughts on this series because it only gets crazier as it goes on (this year was it’s 36th anniversary!)
24:39 I highly, highly recommend giving the tide child trilogy a read sometime if you get a chance. It was my favorite series that I read last year - fantastic story, wonderful characters, & an incredibly unique world. That looks like a lovely edition of it!
21:59 Nice to see you collections Agatha Christie title but the real question is: “Have you read the Agatha Christie Graphic Novels?” #SlagathaChristie
Wow. Good choices. Yona is great. Junji is fantastic. & I personally wouldn't go by the one piece live show. I would watch the real anime show. Then watch live. It was good but I wasn't fond of the luffy they choose. & I cannot wait to see your review of JoJo. Again very good choice. Is so good. I recommend the anime show as well. ❤
You an Alexis should do a 24-58 hour sleep over read-athon. Gav you pick a book off your spooky TBR for Alexis to read and have her do the same. For you. Or another way to try this out is number books from one to whatever and the book to get picked is the book that has to be read .
I hope you enjoy your books gav! I will be sending more hear and there 😉 your shout outs has put me in a extremely good mood 😊 thank you! Have fun in japan and thank you for your amazing videos!
Omg Sing Me to Sleep was SOOO good. Idk why I enjoyed it so much but I absolutely loved it. Let us know what you think of it Gav ❤ also just got off the Illumicrate and FairyLoot YA waitlists so from now on I will be constantly broke but at least I’ll be reading what everyone else is reading 😂
Idk how much would you enjoy Ancient Magus' bride, from what I've seen of you it doesnt seem to be to your taste. But I did like the first season of anime so its not bad at least. I definitely loved Yona, if you are already enjoying it then it gets better Looking forward to you reading Jojo I hope you get to read more of Berserk too, you should also give Vagabond a try, its by author of Slam Dunk and is based on novel- Musashi If you are preparing for October, I do recommend you watch the anime called- Mushishi, give a couple of episodes a try and see if its to your liking
I have Silver Nitrate out from the library, because I want to read it, but I've wanted to see if I can get it with a silver cover ever since I started seeing special editions of it.
Gavin, I hope you have an amazing time on your trip!!!! Do what you wanna do, don't dread the things you can't, enjoy living in the moment & make memories you'll hold with you forever!!❤❤❤ Sending love & positive vibes for you & everyone joining in on your journey!!!!
