So, here's a theory about the chained doors: If you ask me, it was clearly done by the staff to stop people sneaking in. There's a good few real-world examples of fire escapes and emergency exits being sealed in busy areas to stop people sneaking in. If security was an issue, it's likely they chained the doors to make sure people could only use the one entrance/exit. Much like in the real world, this eventually gets a shitload of people needlessly killed- once again, Los Suenos is a depressing mirror of the real world. A bunch of those people could very easily have lived if the people in charge had done something more thorough and avoided the cheap and easy solution.

Not gonna lie, the creepiest thing in ready or not to me was walking across the dancefloor with all those phones going off, still gives me chills

2:06 Im quite sure that this ambulance is not empty because of too many dead bodies but because it was a vechicle that "The Hand" members used to get there. Not only we can see it in the trailer but also concidering the fact that they had cells in local hospital ( Relapse ) Also it was a great way to avoid unnecessary attention and suspition from people.

IMO the reason The Hand attacked the club was because it was an easier target to inflict mass casualties. Club are usually very tightly packed with people and are thus an easier target for The Hand to attack and inflict higher casualties, Neon being no exception. The fact that there was an appearance by a popular music artist (Liver4t) as well as an uptick in clubgoers on the weekend meant that there would have been even more people present at the club. To them, inflicting mass casualties would send a message to Americans that would've been forever ingrained in the public consciousness, as retaliation for airstrikes that killed several Hand members and civilians in Yemen. This is quite similar in motive for other terrorist attacks like in Paris and Orlando, as both attacks were launched in retaliation for airstrikes against the Islamic State.

Before someone saying Orlando Pulse Club, the dancing floor scene could be a direct reference to the 2015 Paris attack where the aftermath of the Bataclan Theatre looks exactly like this. I won't post real photo for people's sanity but yes, unfortunately such scene was real

2:00 my first assumption was that the ambulance is empty because the paramedics were also killed. They were called in by some bystanders assuming that the attackers ran away, and got shot while trying to save a survivor outside. If they simply gave up, they wouldn't leave the ambulance unattended with all doors open, and would drive back to the hospital. Their bodies are nowhere to be found, though

Did you miss the security room? There's a bunch of notes in there that made me think someone was being blackmailed.

The detail of the phones ringing were something that caught me off guard and what I think was a very nice addition to the atmosphere of the map, especially when you consider that the phones of the dead ringing with hopeful calls are something common in these types of events, and the noise of the phones taking up the entire game itself is to me an indication of how severe the attack was.

Shayne, I believe I have an important theory. I do not think Laguna is a place holder. Where do I start with this? Okay, so you know how in Brixley you first see his name tag on the desk? It says Sgt. Laguna, Saigon office. I know you mentioned he could be a strategist of some kind, but would that role really fall to a sergeant? And why call it an office? Why can’t it be a forward operating base or a headquarters? No, I believe the Saigon office is a USIA field office, and Laguna is a USIA field agent, or at least was. My theory is that he was in Vietnam during the war working on more secretive government projects. His award states something along the lines of: without you, we would not have succeeded. Now why would that be said if Laguna didn’t work on something really important? I believe he worked on agent orange during Vietnam. Also, due to his award being plastered on some of the few known distribution points of Los Locos, the shipping company, and by extension, the shadowy organization, I believe he is helping or even heading their MK-Ultra like experiment that they are infusing into all of Los Locos’ drug materials. He may be one of the spider 8, or even the head of it. Maybe that is what the analyst on Twisted Nerve caught onto while he was working in the USIA, why he was so paranoid. Maybe he was the one who fried his brain. I don’t know how he could have gotten involved with the shadowy organization or is motives, but I also believe that he is behind Los Locos’ push to poison the Los Suenos water supply, maybe to continue his experiment on a larger scale, or maybe even carry out a more evil plan. I don’t know why he was in the penthouse apartment, that’s a detail I haven’t figured out yet, but I will keep investigating.

Amazing video, as always! It would be actually really nice to have a full campaign with dialogue between the missions where the swat team talks about what they feel

It would be really cool if they added a bit of narrative to this between missions and a linear progression of the story missions to make it easier to understand the world. and obviously have the regular mission map that we have already.

Another interesting and potentially dark reason for the barricaded doors is the civies trying to lock out the shooters. Irl there is a procedure called “Run, Hide, Fight,”. The chains could be explained as the staff keeping out intruders but things like the broom could be people trying to lock out the shooters only for them to be ambushed from the back.

I speak the classic Arabic fluently, but the word '' Qadamadah '' looks a random word with no meaning or existence in Arabic lexicon. However, I found a closer name '' Qadamgah '' while searching in google, it says a village in Fars province in Iran.

Terrorists love putting civilians in areas where they operate, which prevents aerial strikes from the military, this was seen during the ISIS occupation of Marawi, perhaps the Hand brought their families with them in their bases when the attack occurred, hence the civilian casualties, I'm not trying to justify the atrocities committed, I'm trying to understand the reasons *WHY* they were committed.

The way the lore for this map is done seems super neat to me cause it almost feels like it could tie in to a military shooter story like modern warfare or something where the US then launches a bunch of operations taking out the Hands network in retaliation for the attack

I heard a rumour that the detail of the phones ringing was actually inspired by claims of real police officers during the Puls night club shooting.

For clarification, IIRC the American strike in Yemen was on what was supposed to be a training camp for the associated terrorist group, but with your whole theory on the USIA false flag I can definitely see it being the case that they gave false info on the camp or omitted intel on civilians inside the camp, thus explaining why the Hand was so violent in their nightclub attack. I do have a theory though that the USIA or the Spider or whoever actually was involved in coaxing the Hand towards the attack as a cover for the nightclub, since such a violent attack would garner national sympathy and thus make law enforcement less willing to look into their workings deeper. Or, more practically, any witnesses or informants would likely be killed or injured in the attack, either way any attention on the nightclub would immediately be averted by a tragedy. If the Voll House mission does take place before this one, and Janey is supposed to be in the nightclub, it could be that she was either killed, wounded or traumatized and thus would unable to reveal any information on her father's dealings, which probably was one of their goals if this theory is correct.

This one hit me a lot harder than vols reveal idk, his felt more “out there” like it was an amalgamation of dozens of stories, where neon tomb felt like it was pulled right out of the real world (pulse shooting) and its hits me way harder

there has been cases in history of nightclubs locking up emergency exits that wern't alarmed so people couldnt sneak in and it led to deaths, here in ireland there was the stardust fire in the 80's

8:51 I think the reason they chose this club specifically, was because they knew LIVER4T would perform there that night. That means it will be filled to the brim, if not over capacity as the briefing recording said they frequently ran over legal capacity in Los Suenos. And it would be easy to know that, because there were most likely posters about LIVER4T's performance in Neon all over the place.

Think of the Hand as a Read Herring, You Followed a trail for too long, you found things you were never supposed to see, I don't think its a coincidence that we are sent to one of the trafficking locations, You raided the meth house, which i still believe was a front for chemical research and development (What better place to hide a needle, than a stack of needles) The Post Office, A hub of transport for narcotics and firearms, The port, Clearly an auction house and a transit point for human trafficking, The Dealership, An Illegal Brothel and i perhaps administration for the human trafficking operation, and mind jot, a communication center and a criminal's favorite, we see someone or something trying to manipulate politics, with Brisa cove and Wenderly hills, We see attempts to rid them selves of D Platoon, be by force or deception, by striking at a point of interest, The Club, a point human trafficking, and i believe, part of the LSPD'S investigation, Cut short by a terrorist attack, over a red flag operation, They rid the club of any evidence and cloak it with domestic terrorism, then the hospital, and the attempt by the hand to rescue their leader, i do believe the hospital is of importance, but don't know yet, and finally at the end of the trail, CHERRYesa farm, a bit on the nose, and the Carriers of the Vine, It all points to the MLO, i can't help but think the far is a training grounds, The Shooting Range, the Secluded Location, and the seemingly empty villa, i believe the terrorist strikes helped the MLO form a recruiting campaign, on the grounds of protecting American soil, I know its a bit of a stretch, but its worth believing. If there was an attempt to give "Ready or Not" a movie treatment, maybe it could delve deep into how LSPD's D-Platoon and its team members deal with the horrible shit they've seen in their line of work and how they struggle to keep their work away from their personal lives and their possible loved ones. Just a way to reveal a more human side in them at least.

As a muslim myself, I think these guys represent the modern version of "jihad" which means the muslim holy war and actually lost its real meaning after the crusade wars in the middle age. But the idea of "jihad" is literaly spreading the islam and killing the "sinisters" (people from other religions) but instead of real armies they exist as terrorist factions these days. So I dont think they have a relation with los locos or the human trafficiking but they did shootings before, just not as big as the club and hospital incidents. Also I dont speak arabic but I think qadamada is symboling something like fullfiling god(Allah) 's desires from them by still moving with the "jihad" ideology still to this day. Anyways though, void did a fantastic job with this, they studied these people well and put them in the game very realisticly.

Honestly the dance floor wasn't that jaw dropping for me. Mainly because I was too busy focusing on all the cover enemies could be hiding behind and keeping an eye on the balconies what would (and has) made for a good place to be ambushed from.
