it always amazes me when people criticize this game for being "too dark". Like yeah, thats the point, the whole game is about dealing with fucked up stuff and making judgement calls and thats what I love about it, it doesnt come across as a hollywood adaptation ie quippy one liners, the bad guys all die and everything gets better. This has none of that. What we're doing is important, but in the grand scale, its going to take more work than we could ever do to fully unfuck the city, but we push on. This definitely showcases the darker side of what swat has to deal with, and I think that its important that games like this exist, for the sake of those who actively have to deal with things we never find out about.

I appreciate how they managed to spread the lore in a way that theorising about it makes you feel like an actual conspiracy theorist. Nothing is confirmed, but it's just one too big coincidence to be a coincidence

I feel like the USIA might have something to do with the whole 52 presidents thing. Like if they're willing to dose methamphetamine with other drugs and call hits on former employees, why wouldn't they do something to help their agency if a couple presidents starting poking their noses around?

I think the barred PD car could mean something because (if it was done by the LSPD) could mean that patrol officers are often attacked by mobs or are having to partake in riot control often.

The bars on the windows on the police cars adds to how much the division between the police and civilians are. Irl some police agencies (notably the border patrol) have been put under controversy where they use homemade bars like that to stop things like rocks breaking the glass as they pass along the border. It may also be a reference to Gotham, the tv show, where during the final season and the city falls into chaos the police are forced to “upgrade” their cruisers and suvs to compensate for their lack of man power and bullets.

What did the date on Mr. Varma's award for his military accomplishments say? I thought it read something something 1968, but considering the looks of his body and of his wife, I reckon him to be way too young for that. He must've done something RECENT in Vietnam, in the 2000s. And regarding the inside-job theory: I think so too, but a little differently. The heist was done on the day of the money pickup. So someone clearly tipped them off. Someone who'd know that there's money to be had around that day, and who might have personal beef with Mr. Varma. A disgruntled employee? Just another theory.

I think the Mudasir hit theory is legitimate (given the altered certificate asset). However, I disagree that it was a hit to cover up what he did in Vietnam. I believe that he was a protest organizer (because he is a veteran and would entirely lose or lose a lot of his pension) from the vet funding cut bill. It’s likely that he rallied the local community of veterans/veteran supporters and lead quite successful opposition to the bull. A politician in favor of the bill either, directly paid the gunmen (unlikely; as drug addicts like to talk but they are discredited immediately for being drug addicts, so it is possible) or paid a criminal organization to cheaply hire the disposable gunmen. Seeing as Mudasir ran a semi-decent establishment during the economic crisis in Los Suenos (Sueños? Not sure if the exact spelling), it would look like a robbery gone wrong, no matter how the job turned out. However, instead of leading to the defeat of the opposition, it led to the domestic terrorist attack in the apartments level (can’t remember the name of the actual level). I think this theory holds more weight because corruption in the government is way more believable than an classified operation that happened 56-48 years ago wasn’t declassified.

The PMCs in this game infuriate me. They need to look at least 40% cooler.

YOOOOO, ABOUT THAT ENERGY CRISIS MENTIONING THE DAM. Imagine another huge map with a raid set IN the now condemned dam and powerplant for LS, taken over by one of the antagonistic groups. I'd LOVE to see a map like that of the same-ish scale as the hospital, but more vertical for the dam.

You appear to miss the fact, at least on the active sh00ter mode that the phone in the managers office has a voice message which goes on about debanco and 'the incident ', could be worth a video or another look, I suspect it's Francesco Laguna, given both have the same certificate (forgive any spelling mistakes)

By the way, the cardboard cut-out of persumably the manager can be found in the level. And in a twisted kind of foreshadowing, one of the cut-outs apparently had it's head decapitated and pinned to the whiteboard by fellow staff members as a prank.

Great video, just a few things, i think the mission takes place in the 21st, look at the debanco van on the outside, and is it curious that the damn is abandoned for 8 years, 8 years, of neglect, a big, secluded and expensive facility, of vital importance to the city's power grid, is abandoned for 8 years, with no investigations or changes. I would assume that Mudasir's death is not directly related to USIA, but just meth heads being meth heads. However, as this is surely a early mission, Mudasir's death might be a way to made USIA surface, that the LSPD didn't realized the connection between USIA and previous incidents until they had a look into previous cases like Mudasir, and found out his background. Other than that, this mission would also connect to 213 where possibly the meth heads get their meth from.

Though it's a minor mistake.. But was avoidable Mudassir is a Muslim name... Verma is a Hindu name. They could've gone with Mudasir Hasan or deepak verma type names.

I think it would be more intresting in ready or not if there just is no massive conspiracy, but just a crumbling crime ridden city.

The worst part is, atleast from what I see outside the game since I've never played it myself. Is like the serious lack of support the Police Officers get from the public. I don't necessarily see them as corrupt and trying to do their job. My personal theory is that unlike our timeline the us couldn’t face defeat in Vietnam after having Korea stagnate so we’re forced to escalate possibly to nukes which lead to a ground war with another major power (this explains the amount of veterans around) this crippled the economy which lead to atleast 6 presidents being assassinated and a huge rise in the drug trade and a simultaneous lowering of police funds in some states/towns with California being one as it was fairly prosperous however this caused huge levels of more dangerous crimes to be committed and the rich to turn to horrible crimes as a way to get a kick about this time we are entering the early 2000s and americas national debt is growing worse the drug problem is not helping so they set up safe injection clinics to help prevent over doses and try to switch to cheaper fuels with the tech sector having a minor uptick in performance but by the early 2010s even this is not good enough so they stop using expensive to maintain hydroelectric plants condemning them but not having the budget for destruction always promising that one day they will have the funding but also around this time…. los suenos? Was starting to see some more major effects as there’s more rallies in the street and armed men so they have to focus most of there budget on SWAT unfortunately also around this time the tech sector starts to loose its openness as large companies move in to…. los suenuos? And by the twenty twenty’s the city is always one push away from war the SWAT and few other police that try to help but either the entire country’s finances thin on the ground the government has to lower/cut the help the many vets live off which leads to more protests which causes higher prices and so on until hyperinflation happened leading to riots and violent attacks on the police who many see as responsible which causes police to armour up the vehicles I missed a few key ideas like how after the nuke on Vietnam they may have had a retaliatory response to an uninhabited part of the states and my other that the release of government mind control attempts lead to a drug problem and more public distrust or that as California dropped less and less funding on the police it allowed cults to form in there place but that’s just my theory if you disagree with the story then please tell me the problem you are havibg

The Head is not actually blown off, if you look closely (I understand, RU-vid, Monetization) you can actually see the brain of the Person. This pretty much rules out that the head was blown off, because the brain wouldnt be there in that shape anymore.
