In the 4U gas station manager's office, there is a similar certificate to the Laguna certificate that has a different name, thanking them for their work in the "Saigon Operations." That name is mentioned around the map a few more times and even some of the employees mention them when being arrested, asking if they're ok. I can't remember the name off the top of my head right now, but I think it's very worth your investigation and lends credence to the idea that there's something deeper going on and the certificates are not just placeholder assets. Edit: I went back into the level again to check it out. The person in question is Mudasir Varma, he seems to be the manager and potentially the owner of this 4U branch. Furthermore, there appears to be an evidence box located in the break room above the sink with the name F. Laguna printed on it. Also of note, there is a magazine that references America's 52nd president on the customer side of the convenience store counter and a Los Suenos Times magazine on a table which seems to have a picture of "Executive Officer Gregory Angel" and references "Parasitic Behavior." Lastly, in the clerk's side of the convenience store counter, there is a poster advertising a soft drink called "Agent Orange." It seems that the level of violence in the Vietnam War was so normalized that war crimes are commodified and used as branding. Very cyberpunk stuff. I dig it Edit 2: I did some more digging into the audio files in the Common>Ready or Not>ReadyOrNot>Content>VO>GasEmployee_01 folder. The audio files [BARK]Arrested_0 and [BARK]Arrested_12 are variations of the phrase "Is Mudasir okay?" In some idle arrested voice lines, that same employee will admit to letting the perps in the back and saying they shot the manager for the key to the safe. Presumably, this manager is Mudasir, who I believe is the same unfortunate person leaning against the couch.

I kinda feel bad about this but after further investigation around certain maps, I can finally see that the 'Saigon Command' stuff is just a placeholder asset they use to represent awards and stuff in paper as it would make sense since it looks fancy and at a glance from afar it seems to be something like an award certificate or an official certificate which is why I think it's spread all over the game since it's a placeholder for certificates. I won't rule out the the stuff on the Talent Show though.

Honestly if scum and ready or not are connected then I would be confused about the entire lore at this point. 😵‍💫

A lot of this supernatural/alien shit thrown into the game (as well as the package labelled as being from CARCOSA, and the tentacles on the shirt of The Streamer in the new trailer) makes me think the devs over at Void are fans of Delta Green.

Have you seen the new trailer that just dropped? I'm super hyped for it as it could be seen as a basic training level and probably tie in to the greater CP ring plot seen in Valley and Spider.

Dude I love the design of the spider, it’s so perfectly creepy and it’s a badass symbol to represent some sort of organization. It strikes some level of fear and stress into me whenever I see it and it’s only a symbol in a game, it’s crazy.

Ah man, Hide and Seek has changed drastically since the 1.0 update, i preferred this version tbh. Also, i like the design on the spider.. with each of its legs looking like a human figure. Seeing the Auction room and the missing people really made me realize that the Spider is a huge organization. After seeing it no suspects were arrested, just buried.

all of the wall drawings are, as far as asking got me, are shared withdrawal hallucinations, think the hat man for example. I am genuinely not a psychiatrist, but it seems like all of the drawings are manifestations of fears, hence why they're shared between people experiencing withdrawals / overdoses. As much as the literal spider seems to be linked to the operation named "the spider", it's probably a coincidence. My guess is that they're across all of the cartel-related because of cartel members going off the rocker due to overconsumption Also the UFO paper is not a unity asset

I swear, ive seen that weird crocodile man before, like iirc there was a promotional image with a SWAT officer but their face was distorted to the point it resembled that. It could just be simple coincidence though

That periodic thumping sound - which I couldn't tell if it was part of the background track or if it was the sound of someone banging their hand against the inside of a cargo container in an effort to call for help - kept me noided the fuck out for the entire mission, man. It didn't help that I kept mistaking it for someone throwing open a nearby door to ambush me.😅

I like how the mission says "Joint strike operation between LSPD SWAT, FBI HRT and AFT", i was expecting like "Oh? Are we gonna have to collab alongside the FBI and AFT with the SWAT? That's cool!" unless that's what i thought, it only involved just the SWAT team instead, and no FBI HRT and AFT police forces around to join the SWAT

Over done and cliché AF, but I'd love SOME minor either supernatural or Lovecraftian undertones or Easter eggs. Doesn't have to, the lore and world-building they have already is telling it's story great, I'm just a sucker for that kind of $hit in video games. The world is dark enough for it. And I just never want Lovecraft's influence in pop-culture to die.

North Vietnam has been clandestinely subverting the US politically and socially since perhaps in league with the USSR (now Russia). Those drawings are very odd. When you showed the first black one, I thought it was a crow or a raven with human arms and legs. My shits gonna be schizophrenic (not literally) because it goes all over the place. I've seen enough alchemist shit and some weird theories on the ancients. I'll start with the obvious, symbols have meaning. What the red and the black creatures meaning illudes me, but they either fought or one is prey to the other. Maybe has something to do with the horrible things happening in the city. The gods can be cruel no matter what pantheon. Another thing I'll bring up is drugs. Maybe this group is seeing or maybe even communicating with these gods, or maybe even spirits using narcotics. I once heard that there were ancient cults who used drugs, and they would envision the Planet Jupiter and they witnessed the concept and shape of the pentagram and the hexagram. I believe there's storms that take those shapes on Jupiter. Some odd and disjarred stuff. Maybe RoN devs are into some occult shit like Team Silent back in the day. I heard that occult stuff helped with psychology. But I'll leave that up to the ancients and the occult.

FOR THE LOVe OF GOD LOOK AT THIS ONE, that crocodile head is the biggest part of this map, a wile ago there was a tweet, by void intereactive, where they showed the distorted image of 2 swat officers, one of them heavely resembeling the drawing, below them there were 2 bar codes, they decoded to "Join us and blosom" and "Do you feel like a hero" , the sewage connects to the docks and pleas for the lov of all thats holy, look at the car dealership, it ties most locations together, even having a connection to the CP ring. The tweet is in the comment below. Also in that note, does the guy being pinned look like the first guy in the tweet?

My personal hypothesis regarding Francisco Laguna is that they were a war hero and popular figure. And at some point they, or the Laguna Estate, auctioned off various military paraphernalia. This would explain why you'd find his nameplate and military certificate in the possession of two very different people. They were simply well-to-do military aficionados who wanted a piece of the Laguna legacy.
