The most likely theory about Grogar is that Gusty banish him in the stars where he remained for thousands of years. From there he has been Watching the mane six and learning everything about them. And when Cozy Glow tried to steal all the magic in Equestria, he escaped and after the mean 3’s defeat he decided to watch the ponies from the shadows so he can one day destroy them once and for all.
In the comic issue 102 chrysalis escapes and that gray pony said she's early. so that could indicate that those three were never going to be trapped in stone forever. they are probably setting that up so they might return in g5.
As much as I love the villain trio, I don’t want them in a hundred feet from that generation. Plus, just imagine how bad Tirek and Chrysalis would look like in MYM and TYT.
@@joshuawilfred8050 yeah, but if the staff behind MYM and TYT couldn’t even make The Mane Five remain consistent (excluding Zipp and Pipp I guess) after one single movie, I don’t trust them in the slightest to handle three villains from the previous generation. Plus, how would Cozy and Chrysalis still be alive if they were released from stone before Opaline first attacked Equestria? Because Cozy would age and eventually die, and Chrysalis if not a reformed changeling would need to feed on love to survive, and we see in Frenemies that she needs magic in order to drain love, so without magic, she would just starve to death. The only one who could still be alive is Tirek.

well Discord was the one who turned the Tirek, Cozy Glow and Chrsalis to stone not with the help of the royal sisters cause if you watch closely the two use their magic to remove the cupcake the three were trapped in the electric that turned them to stone was the same electric from Discord
Ok, hear me out. the main 6 died after season 9 sometime ago & mlp gen 5 has major plot holes but what if I told you that Cozy glow, Tirek & chryisalis were the main reason why the mlp gen 5 movie was seperated while mlp season 9 gen 4 ended in harmony, & there all just ruling equestria somewhere hidden while the pony folk are seperated because we don't have magic until the end of the film. There's no griffins, dragons or changelings that we know of so with that being said twilight knew this & couldn't do anything because there gone. I mean it is a possibility, the evidance in the movie of seperation is overwhelming.
The thing is that the 2 princesses did not even turn the 3 villains to stone discord did, if you see closely princess celestia and princess luna just did the work of breaking the cupcake and discord with the lighting turned them to stone. And i think that they will return maybe after season 10 if they bring it out again, since all their magic got taken away and they probably need time to heal and gain the power back before they all strike again! Exactly like how tirak needed time to grow stronger from S2 all the way to S4.
So does that mean generation 5 is going to have to eventually face against these villains now? And I think maybe the same problem applies to the Care Bear villains too.
Discord Stone course didn't Ware off naturally it was whekend it just needed a trager and the 3 cutie mark crusaders costing chaos was it so something similar can happen to the 3 villains in stone right now.....is just my opinion...
Even if Grogar DID manage to escape (from the banishment theory) I don't think it's reliable to use Tirek's rise to power as a way to track his return. They are two separate villains with a MAJOR KEY difference in their abilities. It took Tirek such a short time to recover because he can naturally suck the magic out of a pony's being with his natural magic. Grogar was shown and depicted as needing the bell to rob ponies of their power, you can see that when Gusty stole it, he wasn't able to just drain her magic to get it back, it was a key part of how he gained power to begin with. We don't know exactly what happened to the bell after the trio's defeat but I don't think Twilight would've just left it there out in the open especially considering it was such a powerful artifact capable of being used by any magical creature. She probably returned the bell to it's resting ground after the defeat of the trio, I don't think even Grogar could get that thing back no matter how powerful stories claimed he was. Edit: I mentioned this in a previous video made by him but people seem to forget that Discord was only able to escape because of the chaotic fighting of the CMC, that is LITERALLY his power source, even as a stone pillar that's all it would take for him to gain the necessary power to break out. He is the literal GOD of chaos, some stone statue was not going to hold him like that. In a way it was comparable to the Sirens feeding off of the negative energy of ponies and fighting to grow stronger. It's the source of his powers because he is the physical manifestation of chaos. Tirek, Cozy Glow and Chrysalis aren't any sort of cosmic gods like Discord and that spell had his combined god like powers thrown into the mix. I think he knows it'll be forever because there is no breaking out from something like that. Unless the next generation wants to take a crack at reforming them but not very likely.

If Grogar was banished to the stars, then he would have use these events from the very beginning to gather negative energy. Waiting these 9 seasons and watching adversaries try and fail to rule Equestria. That way he can secretly observe things, gather villains, and prepare his grand master plan to destroy friendship and regain control of Equestria.

I honestly think that the royal sisters + the elements + discord would create one of the strongest spells ever, (Maybe even + Starswirl or even you could bring Gusty back and add her into this too,)
I have a theory, so you know how Nightmare Moon destroyed the elements in S1 and they turned into necklaces and a crown, well we know how King Sombra destroyed them why couldn’t they just be reborn again
