I feel like starswirl himself can take the task. He’s extremely wise and given that he’s been learning about friendship since season seven, I don’t doubt that he’s become a moral and kind old man. Given his talent, he might easily be able to do this. That is, if he’s still alive. Then again, age spells are a 6oz cup of tea when it comes to atuff he can do, so it’s possible he’d be up for it if he’s done learning.

I doubt Starswirl would do something that he thinks is unnecessary. Sure dreamwalking is important but as he said, Equestria lasted pretty long without dreamwalking.

I think that the sisters would’ve done that a long time ago, but at the same time maybe they wanted to give Luna a purpose other than raising the moon.

When the sisters did their retirement announcement, they lend to Twilight Sparkle an object which could allow her to rise and lower the sun and moon. Even so, now (as seen in the last episode), the sun lowered by itself. Also, there was that one time when Tirek was taking everyone's magic. The rest of alicorns gave their magic to Princess Twilight Sparkle (since she wasn't known to Tirek). She had power of rising and lowering the moon. I think I listed every times Princess Twilight Sparkle take the role of the royal sisters in the series. Hope this was hopeful and that my memory is correct 😂 Sawtooth Waves even did a video about this topic. Not sure if Deleted Brony Videos Archive did archive it though.

@@underloveryz2731 I don't think Celestia and Luna gave their magic to Twilight, I think the sun and moon just sets by itself so right after Twilight sang in the very last episode, she probably teleported back to Canterlot and raised the moon using the amulet, I have a theory that Princess Luna made an amulet for Rainbow Dash to make her walk in pony's dreams.

I love the idea for a dream team and rainbow would fantastic at doing Luna’s job, as much as I look at this it makes sense and I would’ve loved to see it actually in the future but unfortunately the series is over and we will never know what they came up with. Also I have a theory on discord’s origin but I can’t make a video to share my thoughts.

HEAR ME OUT- WHAT IF PHARYNX TOOK OVER DREAMS!? It seems Changelings can cast spells when in different forms, and I would feel protected having a powerful but reformed fighter protecting my dreams. It would also be seen as respect for Twilight to entrust a Changeling with this, and it would also help her strive towards her goal of making Equestria a more inclusive community.

May sound kinda silly at first, but what bout Discord as the guardian of dreams..? I mean yeah he can be cocky and seemed not to be reliable at all in the past or more he just had his own head - name it how ya want. But after all I wouldn't deny his power to enter the realm or to fight nightmares. Additional I would count him as kinda wise guy that could give ponies some advices while fixing their dreams (just like luna did). Sure he's goofin around most of the time but after all he starts to reflect himself and his actions and don't forget bout he helped the m6 to solve the key riddle in season 4 finally what caused them to finish tirek off in the end. And what's even bout his needings when it comes to sleep and food..? Does he need those things to stay alive? I mean he's a ghost after all and yeah we saw him eatin stuff, but him beein able to do and him needin to do are two pairs of horseshoes. Means if he doesn't need those things so he's able to work at night without gettin tired while he still helps fluttershy carin for animals durin daytime. Maybe it's more funny than serious idea but after all I think he would cast some rly hillarious dreams 😂✨

The cutie mark crusaders makes sense, they all met luna at some point. Still it doesnt make sense vecause luna has only been active for a couple of years, it qould make more sense for celestia to retire, Luna taking her chores and Twilight taking lunas chores

Remember, you said that Luna and Celestia just put your magic in it and known as magic can also go through the dream world so twilight used it depended to go into dreams. Twilight did not lose her magic when she made the crystals. Actually, it was a simple task for her so she still out there, hidden I’m a number and season six in my little pony, the new version, we found out that why I also Casper on track after. After he made a crystals so it couldn’t be possible. She lost her magic because he also sent a match made up a dragon Crystal and a pony Crystal that was all dragon magic and all pony magic so she didn’t lose her powers and she still dream walking right now.

Luna can help ponies from their dreams+ see the dream realm but she dosent control it. Luna can have dreams herself aswell. Back in alicorn land skyross i think theres an alicorn that controls dreams maybe even their parents? I want to know who their parents are so bad

well twilite was handed the amulet AND she can do time travleing and can go back in to the past so its very unlikely she would break the amulet and give it to some one else and only lune could walk in dreams (alicorn) only celestia could rais the moon(alicorn )only cadence can take care of an empire (alicorn ) so it only makes sense twilites does it or uses lester and make here iinto an alicorn and flurryheart could take ove the dream power when cadence is taking care of her empire and since she is an alicorn she can have the magic to controll night and be like how lune and celestia ruled

I think she will be replaced by Cadance or flurry heart because as we can see Twilight and Cadance have a great bond so that can explain that Cadance could take over the dream world of equestria but then we come to a point where we think that she is ruling The Crystal Empire and her work is to spread love along creatures that leads us to another theory her daughter flurry heart we can see that Twilight loves her niece very much then she could kind of also represent family love as a act which she can also spread family love as well as friendship love or maybe there can be another alicorn as we can see Twilight learned to distribute work and responsibilities which we can think that she was replaced by someone else perhaps lunas daughter
