Fast receipes are too yummy.We can make it too even if we r not fasting.Instead its best if we try these receipes for whole family.why for fasting people omly.Sabudana receipes,samarice receipes, sabzis without onion n garlic r exceptionally yummy.In our sikh family i havnt seen anybody fasting but after marriage my sis in law do fasting n make receipes for herself only.Rest of the members keep staring desperately.So i think all vrat receipes i will make for All.

These are typical recipes for the Navratri days when even crooks pray to the Goddess for forgiveness! Aloo tari is really worth trying. As for the Sama poorie, let the initiated try. For our aloo ki subzi sans pyaz n garlic, we bengalis use the magic paste of ginger and green chilies. Tempering of our sine qua non spice combo - paanch phoron, only. For khataas, we may go for amchur Or a little dahi. No tomatoes. Another great tempering we use is kalonji.
