The thing is we are so used to the low spall in the BVM that having spall liners literally doesnt add much,in fact only loss since slower reload and horrible reverse the rest the BVM already do the same or better
I have a challenge for you: You start a game with only the bare minimum rounds to spawn (you can resuply) and for every kill you get or 3 assists you can add an extra round for the next match and the challenge ends when you finish a match with a kill with a full load of ammo. Also you will start with the tank with all mods or those you have and if you not meet the score for an extra round you will have to uninstall a mod starting with the top ones, but you can add them back in you meet the score for an extra round sacrificing said round. (If you can add 2 rounds you could add: 1 mod 1 round, 2 mods or 2 rounds) To make it more entertaining for us you could play with a vehicle you are not very good with like an Ariete, the Type 10/TKX, the Leclerc, a Merkava or russian/chinese T-series tank If you wanna add an extra challenge to it you can start with the stock round of the tank and after getting a kill with the full load you pass to the next round, over and over until you do it with all rounds (after switching rounds you will start again with the bare minimum and you can only carry 1 type of amunition at a time)
Its the 2018 variant of the t 90m, the 2023 variant has an actual reverse gear an aps and a softkill system, im assuming they patched this variant in for balance
@@aenodarr7936 from what i understand the t 90m is fitted with the Shtora-1 softkill withour the active element, but to be fair i cant confirm anything since its all classified
Bagged "relikt" should actually be 4S24 and arena has not been fielded yet the vehicle does still partially retain the shtora system but omitts the dazzler the warning system is part of shtora also iirc the adjustments to the autoloader were only proposals which would thin down the side armor around it
at most, I think gaijin could give T-90M and T-80BVM the 3BM59, the DU version of 3BM60 which is tungsten, only a slight 30 - 50mm penetration increase but given that they're 11.7 vehicles, it'll make them stand out a bit more.
The most claims of Russian Bias towards the T-90M come from the Devserver, where it basically was an unstoppable behemoth. I think it's armor modifier was like 6? Meaning the sides am had an effective thickness of around 500-600mm
yeah, the test server it was a monster, the spall liner ate everything. Felt like i was shooting HEATFS at a maus completely covered in ERA. In live server its a joke lol, i once killed it with dm33 through the front corner behind the tracks.
Nope, its better with more fun depression. Also the hull irl has better array, not the 30 year old array but it's classified so not added in game... Just like Abrams du hull but the Russians are not crying for better Armor because the relikt TANKS dm53 with the 30 year old array.
DM73 is DM53 in length and everything but it has a stronger propellent resulting in ~10% increase in performance. DM63 is also just DM53 but much less prone to blowing up or catching fire post penetration.
Of course its not what you think. Its not bad but its only slightly better than T-72B3 and playstyle is literally the same. Any competent player will choose BVM over 90M because of mobility. Okay spall liners will save you sometimes but weakness is obvious. I one-tapped 90M plenty of times with DM23, DM53 is no brainer. You get outclassed by 2A7AV and Strv 122 B+ in every way. Spall liners work better because of crew positioning, insane mobility, equal or even better armour (esspecially on turret), better rounds and other things. My advice, dont put yourself in position you cant run away from, reversing wont help, press W and hide somewhere else, flank as much as possible and use element of suprise, aim for turret wedge to knock turret traverse or breech because leopard turret literally SNAPS back at you at lightspeed if you dont disable it and he has smaller chance of missing his shot.
@@9Achaemenid Bruh first off the T-80U, T-80UK and T-72B3 can still compete at 11.7. The 11.3 MBTs of other nations play nearly the same as their 11.7 counterparts but even worse. TES, 2F, Ariete PSO/Ariete have the same armor/layout as their 11.7 but come with worse drawbacks like useless armor and worse engines. 11.7 is just an arbitrary ranking as 11.3 sees 11.7 anyways and T-80Us perform better than those other 11.3 from my experience playing them all.

Russian thanks can't reverse and so easy to kill, they cant hide or relocate like other nations!! to be fair, theres alot of things on every one of the newest mbts that havent been added (dm63/73, type c armor and improperly modeled gearbox on the 2a7. DU armor on the sep v2 and probably nerfed era. challenger 3 also missing dm63/73 aswell as alot of turret armor and also gearing issues.) so im guessing they did this because they were too lazy to make a new br bracket for like 12.3 ground and just gimped all the new gen mbts so they can still be at 11.7
The T-90M does not have arena, it is capable of mounting it but Russia has not equipped them to any of their tanks, well at least those in Ukraine. T-90M cannot fire anything bigger than svinets-2. There was a proposal to redesign the turret to fit the T-14's armata gun and autoloading system so it can fire Vacum1 and Vacum2 but the idea never took off. The tank irl offered more digitalization, crew ergonomics, situational awareness etc but those dont mean anything in war thunder when u got a 3rd person/chase cam lol
Sweden since the STRV 122, and the old CV90s existed was THE BEST NATION FOR GROUND for a long time. The whole Russian bias thing is blown to the ends of the nuts. They fixed spalling in general and they are even easier to 1 shot than they already kinda were. Especially when the fuel gets breathed on, BOOM.
the only reason they call this one more russian bias is because they actually decided to moddel the frontal fuel tanks as external (like on 2a6 and abrams) so they dont insta kill when they get hit.
@@goliath3413 From my experience fighting them they still blow up from the frontal fuel tanks. I figured they just modeled them as external as they couldn't separate it being behind spall liners or got lazy.
How the hell did that tank survive even 1/10th a second without the crew vaporizing when the ammo cooked off? Almost every round is right under their asses for God’s sake!

Sorry to correct you Panzer, but no the T-90M cannot use the longer APFSDS rounds like 3BM69 or 3BM70. The 2A46M-5 simply cannot use these rounds. It's stuck using 3BM59 and 3BM60 just like the T-72s and T-80s before it. That was the whole point of switching the gun for the T14 Armata to the 2A82-1M which could handle these longer and more effective penetrators.
Panzer, the reason why the Russians design their tanks and most if not all of their vehicles the way they do, is cause of their battle strategy. They use brute force and strength to wage war. I mean he’ll look at their jets, they legit do not have bubble canopies meaning they don’t expect to be on the defensive in a dog fight and the reverse speed in their tanks shows how they don’t believe in retreat. Which is why Most Russian tanks have such thick armor in the front.
the plane thing doesn't sound right. their tactics involve flying in duos rather than solos. Besides, radar advancements and their no fly zones make it imposible for someone to manage to sneak behind them.

Actually russian doctrine is very defensive and fighter aircraft are disigned accordingly. Su-27 was designed as an interceptor platform to go against F-15, MiG-29 has short range and mostly unguided ground ordnance, which is pretty bad for an offensive platform, MiG-31 is designed to counter ICBMs. Fighter pilot training is also primaraly built aroud air combat due to the relatively small military budget and large amount of airframes, hence poor SEAD during the beginning of Ukraine invasion. Poor(er) visibility is caused by lower conopy which is there to reduce drag and production costs, my guess it wasn't deemed necessary for it's role in the 80s and was "fixed" on modern versions with rear facing radars in the dong
i just watched a video about Abrams and auto loaders from what i understood from the video is that theres a new abrams being tested (not the abrams x) i think it name was abrams m1a3 maybe its still a prototype also what is with people and the letter x
Arena APS does exist for several vehicles we already have in game but due to costs, not being able to produce them to a high degree etc they haven't been implemented to the Russian military.
@@PanzerPaw Im pretty sure no Russian tanks will have the Arena APS until like 2028 if my memory serves well (I genuinely do not remember where i got the source i think it was from red effect so woops)

The problem with spall liners is that on tanks like russian T's, Leclers and type 90/10s it is a balancing factor for armor since they die very quickly. But on the others which have an extra crew member to sacrifice means that they will get shot, survive, kill, get shot again, survive, kill, get shot again and die. On the 3 crew tanks its get shot and either die from ammo/fuel explosion or 2 crew members dead so tank is dead (lucky case is only one member dies so you survive). Also quick note: The frontal fuel tanks on t90m are modeled as external (like on abrams or leos) and its the main reason its so survivable. On the other tanks they are counted as internal so they blow up and kill (even tho it shouldn't blow up).
u can go around in the fields because your tank is shorter than nato MBTS, so u aren't or barely visable to the enemies, its not bias, its not even the armour. Its a legitimate advantage that russian tanks have.

lol. 6:46 You may not be willing too but I sure will call bs. During the Cold War almost everything pushed out by the Soviet Union turned out to be overstated or was a straight up lie. I mean the US created the F-15 to counter a MIG that didn't actually have the capabilities that Russia claimed it did. And they don't model the ammo properly in the T-series tanks. Simply touching the ammo, especially the caseless stuff should start a chain reaction. This is what causes tank turrets to become "miniature rockets" in both Kuwait and Ukraine. At least in the older autoloaders, I don't know how different the newer one is, a thing of caseless ammo is stored right behind the breach between the gunner and commander. Now the Abrams should be able to pen this but doesn't in game... And hitting caseless ammo should pretty much auto detonate and not just go yellow... (Yes I've had this happen to me) 20:45 And with the Abrams engines yes they are very loud but only if you are behind it. Otherwise it would have never gotten the nickname "Whispering Death."
Russian use blocker units to stop attacking infantry from retreating. So the terrible reverse speed on Russian tanks might be entirely by design: Not one mm backward.
The more likely reason is that it’s an unpleasant heritage: since the T-72 was used as a “base” for the T-90 which was designed back when USSR existed and could actually produce tanks in massive quantities, so it was specifically designed to be quickly, cheaply and efficiently produced in massive numbers which means that they had to sacrifice some things. But it’s just a theory A TANK THEORY!

More so a tank idealogy thinking back then they rushed with their smaller tanks with their numerous numbers on an open field. Reversing + getting a larger better transmission wasn't an idea to begin with. Though mind you there are companies like Renk that makes T-72 transmissions (see PT-91 Twardy Automatic RENK-SESM/ESM-350M transmission) procuring -34 kmph reverse speed so its possible to upgrade many T-72 variants with better reverse.
Nah, you're too nice Panzer. For sure this is not the true "Russian Bias" such as the Object 279, but people who say "Russian Bias" are gonna say it anyway. Even if you show the video to them, they gonna call it "skill issue". I didn't find too hard a time playing German against them. When you actually pen the carousel or kill the driver they don't even get any chance to backup or repair, just flying turret and sitting duck. It feels fair to me. You trade off the versatility and the loader for extra armor and that explosive autoloader, fair trade.
It should be much better. No new rounds is weird, especially because 3bm60 pen in game is only 580 in contrast to dm53 650mm pen. Western advancements in tanks is not always the answer, they perform well, yes against incompetent opponent. But still have multiple flaws. There is not such thing as perfect tank. Tanks designs will change dependent on needs and doctrines.
It‘s reasonable to assume, that both rounds would perform better, especially at such close ranges, however both are nerfed for gameplay reasons and DM53 outperforming 3BM60 makes sense (longer projectile + higher muzzle velocity)

@@NahIdWin995 I‘d guess it comes down to flavor, it‘d be boring if every tank performed the same. Thus different performance in terms of armor, firepower and mobility ideally inspired by the real thing, which are then tweaked for balance. Edit: thus no Russian APFSDS with 600mm+ of penetration.
Got to take into account how they calculate rounds in this game based on their equations of LOS of 60 degrees. In terms of actual penetration DM53 from calculations "pens 750 mm " already in game (yes its in quotes as its 650 mm in game but the calculations Gaijin uses is of their own to remedy classified documents).@@NahIdWin995
2S38 is not broken at all ,a lot of time when i meet a 2S38 is go gly high in the sky ,.even on turret hit where dont have crew can kill the 2s38 because of ammo hit and it will explode .if you hit it on the mid ammo hit again if you hit a front crew+ammo. So not hard to kill ,i found out like strf ifv or dardo is mutch more survivable and have better armament and more versitalle .
