Supplies needed are:
-good cutting or fabric scissors
-3/4 wooden balls (I got mine from Hobby Lobby)
-thinner weight yarn for hat
-thicker weight yarn for body
-toilet paper or paper towel roll
-1-inch styrofoam ball or 2-3 cotton balls
-hot glue gun/hot glue sticks

I gave this a try and you are right about the hat being tedious. I used a crochet hook to grab that yarn when forming the slip knot because I have arthritis. I really enjoyed the project though! Super cute!

Just made my first gnome I ordered some polystyrene balls but they were too small so I pushed a small ball of same colour wool as the hat inside it - am now waiting for wooden balls to be delivered to give him a nose - I love him 💙

I love your yarn? what are the yarns used for very first two gnomes?!? Its lie a rust kinky , and the oatmeal beard to the right with black specks...(one you wrap around the cd case.

I did not write down the brands and such BUT all are from Hobby Lobby except the oatmeal with the flecks which I got at Walmart- BUT I did see that HL had the same or super similar of that one as well!
