No sound on your Amazon FireTV and Firestick? This could be due to the settings trying to use Dolby Digital on an unsupported device. The fix is easy just change your audio output setting to stereo in movies or turn off Dolby Digital in the Fire TV stick menu.

This is genius! Thank you! I was having this exact issue with my Prime Video app on my Roku which is synced with a Wimius projector (Bose mini Bluetooth audio output), so I had to go into the Roku settings and switch the audio to stereo. Worked like a charm! 🥂 God bless you.

I have followed the exact steps to disable dolby. This is my 2nd replacement device. It functioned for 2 months and then today it again stopped giving out sound. A restart fixes it but the issue comes back again. What can be the possible problem?

I had a similar problem with the firestick I had the sound perfect everywhere on every stations except on Discovery Velocity my favorite station, image was perfect but with no sound at all , played with the Dolby thingny and the sound came back save me long minutes waiting on line with my cable distributor ! Thanks !

Thanks. However when I click on the audio settings while watching a movie, it’s already set to Stereo. Then I switched Dolby digital to OFF as you instructed and still no sound. Any other options?

This was my problem too and I had set it up outside to have family movie night and 😱 I was so mad and disappointed we were trying and nothing so I packed it up and came inside and troubleshoot on RU-vid and u were the first one I clicked on ... 🤦🏼‍♀️ after only a few min of being inside I fixed it.. after everything was put away🤷🏼‍♀️ well at least I know for next time thanks sir
