Thanks. And thanks for getting to the point fast. Interesting as my Ferrari 612 is a 2005 and it worked. Thought it was a power issue. But typically do not connect non-alike colors. Happy now.
Thanks so much, this was a huge help and time saver. I couldn't figure it out and was about to run all the door speakers directly to my jp95 5 channel amplifier, that would have been hours of work. Thanks so much
This just helped me. Have a 2013 impala with Bose. Kenwood radio, wired everything up and no sound. Took the blue wire and wired it to the amp turn on (blue/white) and viola!!! I have sound!! Thanx man!!
OMG I just saved my hubby with his stereo! He told me he'd give me $100 if it actually worked.... Guess what?! I have some money coming!!! :) This was the first video I clicked on too... So, Thank you!! :)
@@AK907dude LOL :) Crazy thing is I remember him showing me all the wires that was hooked up, and I asked about the blue wire and he said "Oh that's for the power antenna don't need to hook that up.. 20 seconds into this video I said " Hey I think I got it , you know that blue Antenna wire well it needs to be connected too".. He then said "no that can't be: ... I told him well this is what this video is saying and according to a lot of comments it clearly worked... He decided to go ahead and connect it... And we both went back out to the vehicle and he said..." If this works I will give you 100 bucks"... Hooked it up and turned it on.... In 5 seconds he said " NO WAY THERE IS SOUND."..We could tell just by hearing the sounds of buttons pushing through speakers... We even took a video... LOL :)... Now he wants me to hook up the back up camera .. lol :)
Thank you very much. I found out I had the plugs backwards to start with then I touched those two wires together and boom it works great! Much appreciated saved me money and stress!
I had the same issue with my Alpine UTE-73EBT installation in my 01 dodge Ram.... I couldn't find any solution until I found your video... I don't have a power antenna so I didn't hook the blue antenna wire to anything... But I did have a lime green factory wire in the Car radio harness (amplifier) that did not have a paired wire from the new radio harness. I connected the blue antenna wire to the factory lime green amplifier wire and voila MUSIC>>>>>> So I don't know (Because I am not well versed on electronics) But either Connecting the blue antenna wire triggers or completes a circuit in the head unit // or // a signal needed to be sent (activated on the factory side amplifier) I don't know but it works.
I did the same thing yrs ago putting in a open box Kenwood Cassette stereo from Circuit City for someone in a 1994 Ford Explorer it had a blue wire i thought it was not needed but the factory radio had a factory amp. at first there was no sound so i thought the radio was bad but it was just that the speakers went thru the amp first. this was in the late 90's when was about 15 or 16.
I have blue wires on for power antenna from double din swm 7013b and one blue in wiring harness as external amp but i don't have any blue white wires, also i tried connecting both blue wires but didn't work, still no sound. I also tried connecting blue wires with red one but still no sound. Car is sonata 06 2.4l without amp
Question. Is this just a matter of the circuit being compete? I want to install an amp and subwoofer in my 2001 e46 but my remote wire that would control power to my amp is occupied I because have this same problem. If I were to connect my remote wire from my harness into my remote wire for my amp instead of the head unit do you think I will still get sound of of my car speakers? Even though my speakers are still running off the stock amp? I am an AV noob sorry if anything I asked was a dumb question and I would really appreciate a response. THANK YOU!
@jgazda9742 I had same issue I just tapped into the remote wire that was running to my amp, and it worked fine. Wow just realized your post was 2 years old 😂
but should I connect the blue that comes from the car to the red radio or the cables of the radio? I have dynaudio but no sound, how can I solve it? helps me volkswagen tiguan
Please help I have blue white and white blue remote turn on and turn on on my harness from amp box and swc and aftermarket and ages til the stereo makes sound and drain my car battery 😥maybe it not turn on and off that's why the drain appears
Well I have a 2012 Nissan frontier sv with the Bose amp in it and this didn’t work for mine. If anyone knows how to fix this or knows where the amp is located please let me know I’ve spent about 6 hours installing and trying to get this thing to work
I’m sure this is the solution but on my new unit, there is ONLY a blue wire (ANT - Auto Antenna Power). There is NOT another blue/black or blue/white wire. I can’t show a pic of the wiring harness here but if you think you can help me, I’ll certainly send it to you via email. Thanks so much for any help you can give me. Bottom line: Is there another wire that may do the same thing as the blue/black or blue/white wire does?
Ahhhh, you need to splice that blue wire in with a “switched” 12 volt source (only has 12 volts on it when the key is on). See this video to see what I mean…. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-ZFl3G4BrVak.html
@@philipalberti7008 im prob gon go to a shop at this point don’t know what else to do cause I wired my harness to what seems to be the right colors however I got a left over black and red and the radio only turns on no music comes off it
Yep thats what it was. Took a long damn time for you to spill the beans & finally say it. But you finally did. Dont mean to sound ungrateful but it was painful waiting & waiting.
Dude. The video is less than 2 minutes. Plus you could have just read the description, all 2 sentences and figured it out. But, you’re welcome! Glad it helped.
