Great video Papa i never knew that part existed in the plug, i removed it and tried one from another motor and it works now. Thanks so much saved me from ordering a bunch of parts i didn’t need.
I got one that one minute it's got spark then it doesn't it's been inside kept all it's life I don't think it's ever been started.i by passed the kill switch it runs great is it a bad grind on the kill switch?
Thanks! This is exactly what was wrong with mine! It came apart and when the spark plug was removed all the parts fell out and they didn’t notice! I found the spring in the bottom of the generator! Still looking for the resistor and screw cap!
Hi Mike. Thanks for checking in with me on my channel. All things being equal, the spark plug is new and tested good, the new coil is good and the air gap is correct.. try these suggestions: 1st unplug the small wire from the coil, this is the ground wire/kill switch, turn over the engine, still no spark. Check the oil, make sure it's full, then unplug the low oil switch, try Turning over the engine again. Still no spark, thoroughly clean the flywheel magnets and make sure the flywheel, crankshaft keyway and flywheel line up. Still no spark, replace the coil, again.
Brilliant advice … you have just answered my query. The small spring and resister just fell out but I wasn’t aware where they came from or what they were 🤷🏻♂️ … unable to find them now so what shall I do?.. can I order the parts? Thanks - Pat in the UK.
Hi Pat. I've heard of some people cutting a wire connector to the right size that fits in the space that used to be taken up with the resistor and spring. Be sure to remove the plastic covering on the wire connector.
