I love the fact this boss is literally the equivalent of some kids in a big trenchcoat pretending to be an adult(?) woman.

A little reminder that this fight spawned a massive influx of fan-art of Mayday pinching Sayu's cheeks.

i honestly love how this represents how the creators are overshadowed in the vocaloid community, having their songs mistaken for being created by the loids themselves (the people controlling Sayu represent the composers, while Sayu is a simple loid)

So the red kid controls her voice, the orange kid controls her design, The blue kid controls her movement, The yellow kid controls her stability and edits her

Something people haven't noticed… the pre-phase 4 cutscene before she transforms into a reverse mermaid. It takes her 3 tries to transform. Just like how you never quite manage to plug a usb key on the first try. Good detail.

If this world is advanced enough for people like DJ Supernova to have human bodies with disco shaped heads, it's weird that Sayu isn't a sentient, fully functional A.I....

Sayu has to be my favorite character by far she's the most amazing boss fight ever

She reminds me of Splatoon 1's final boss combined to the final phase of the final boss from the second game + the Octo expansion dlc's final boss (pretty weird that this amazing boss reminds me of the Splatoon franchise 🙃)

Considering she's the second boss overall and the first boss you had to work at, she REALLY doesn't EFF around does she? Meanwhile literally every kpop stan be like "wait her fans get multiple colors of glowsticks? Not fair man." :P

This is random, but I love the fact that the person who controls Sayu’s movement has a design reminiscent of motion capture clothing, with all the little pom-poms all over their clothes!

My favorite thing is the icons for Sayu’s creators are plastic die cut molds. The same kind you’d see for Gundam models or figurines

I love this game with so much unconditional adoration, especially this boss fight. The idea of a rhythm game being a 3D platformer AND have great bosses of different genres of music?! Unheard of! But this game takes the idea and runs with it, maybe not greatly at some points, but it tries its hardest, and I love it. The subtle jokes in her design and attacks, like her trident being the USB symbol, the fish blockages being battery meters, the dropping and circling fish being almost similar to calligraphy pens, everything just AHH, it's all so good! I would love a NSR 2, which could improve on things it didn't do so well in the first, namely the end boss.

so one thing that confuses me is the end of the fight. i thought that she was supposed to be a virtual star but then her eye opens up like a hatch with the people inside. so is she an AI/program or a huge mech/robot?

The Switch version of NSR is completely bugged beyond belief. I can't even get to this fight because I'm forever stuck on DJ Subatomic Supernova. I know that I'm timing his attacks correctly, yet the game is convinced that I'm not and I get hit EVERY time and I keep losing the fight as soon as I reach the third phase! At this point, I'm considering purchasing the PS4's digital version...
