It's interesting how her song gets more and more obviously electronic and only at the end Mayday and Zuke are able to swing over to rock. In a way All bosses music gets more into a Rock-y style but still as EDM music, if that makes any sense?

Sayu definitely has the most complex instrumental mix... From what I can know, selecting the EDM track for SAYU's boss fight actually plays the Vaporwave version with distorted melody (and even distorted glitched vocals), so this means the clear vaporwave melody is never actually used in-game or even playable in-game at all. Voice - Melody (Lyrics or A distorted version of the Vaporwave Melody OST (Lyrics + Main instrument)) Movement - Rhythm (Drums), works this way for all phases. There was also a part in phase 5 during rock where the guitar was imitading Sayu's glitched vocals.

I've haven't played the game yet but love every thing I've seen. Been trying to avoid going to deep before actually playing. But this is probly my favorite version of sayu's song so far.

Idk if I have a problem, but I still absolutely adore this song. I just listen to it, and vibe pretty often. I love hearing how dynamic it is, especially the parts where that funky bass kicks in. Don’t normally comment, but I just thought I would cause this video is like perfect, it displays basically every little intricate change in the song. This whole fight was genius, and so is this song.

I'm commenting just to say: the rock parts have clear citypop/future funk vibes, specifically I'm convinced they're referencing Maria Takeuchi's Plastic Love(not sure if on notes, definitely on vibe) and with it giving another extra layer of meaning to the music: that Sayu's feelings of love are plastic and pretended, thus not as strong as May and Zuke's love for Rock, the city, and each other(love does not have to be romantic)

When the "Otaku Cheer" part comes along i always think of that one gif of people at a concert rocking the fence from headbanging.

The original song is good, but man does the in-game mix SLAP harder than my mom's flip-flop.

I feel a little disappointed you didn't arrange how the modules would break in order. It goes voice, video then movement. This really sounds great when its phase 2. The vaporwave backs as the melody, Nikki Simmon's voice applies a sort of glimmer of progress and hope, the otaku cheers keep the energy moving as well as the regular EDM backing track.
