Thank you, Vern! It's not that our hearts don't ache for the true refugees, but I think Carl Stephens has hit the nail on the head with his comment. I'm grateful to you for protecting your fellow Americans!
You said in your email... "A far more sensible approach would be to create safe zones for refugees inside Syria or in neighboring countries." I agree with that statement above everything I've heard so far. America is already bogged down by too many non-English speaking people that can't or won't work. Why do we need to fill our country with more? I say, Help them in every way that we can... within their own country.
Two things trouble me: There seems to be a lot of military aged men amongst the refugees and the lack of a database for backgrounds. We should be very cautious. I do not want our good intentions to turn tragic.
