It is pretty mind-boggling to consider the idea of a synthesizer with all the sound-shaping possibilities of a classic Moog, ARP, Buchla, ElectroComp or Synthi model with no patch cords needed, up-to-date programmability and control and at a fraction of the price needed for the aforementioned.

Beautiful! I'm one of the few people that saw Tomita in concert in Japan... He sat on his ass with his arms crossed over his legs. Wonderfully artistic. I'm Old School analog era. I remember teams of people with giant Moogs who couldn't do what you just did. You created some sweet funky rhythms that rock on their own. Cool demo. Props.

It looks complicated but I have to say that it's the easiest synthesizer to program. Thanks to its matrix I understand modulation possibilities a whole lot more.

That's what I call a decent synth! Capable of so much diverse sounds. Not like my moog sub, who is great, but does not have all of the capabilities of this beast.

I've become pretty much a total VST afficiando, but, if I was ever going to buy a hardware synth again, I am pretty sure this would be it. For what it does and its total user friendly matrix, I think it's really reasonably priced.

Is this in the core soundwise (oscillators, filters) similar to the minibrute etc.?

Not sure about the oscillators, but it comes with a "minibrute" style filter, as well as a Moog style ladder filter so you can choose between an aggressive filter or a smooth one.

Ok, the presets sound good, the wheels turn smoothly and the filter works as well. So what else can you show us? How about that matrix thing on the right? Oscillators? LFO's? ADSR?

Any thoughts on how this stacks up against a Yamaha CS30 or 40M? They both have multiple LFO waveshapes at different destinations and some complex mod routings (particularly CS30), curious if MatrixBrute can do everything those old Yamahas can do modulation/routing wise. Looks like MatrixBrute doesn't have a ring mod, for instance.

uhm price of this seems to have gone up a fair bit, probably thanks to the cheap pound. Now its a bit closer to the cost of a DSD obx. Its sounds very good though.

This actually sound pretty damn good, now if it only were 8 voices, what a monster it would have been. Please Arturia wake up! We want polysynths now, enough of the monosynths, the market is flooded with them even if this is unique it's quite a high price tag for a monosynth. Thanks for the demo sounded great!

@@magicmulder Moog One is around 6, respectively 8K (8 or 16 voice polyphony. So IF they make polyw-hatever, I think we are looking a slightly below that range. The question is - are these things going to be made 5 years from now? Or will the Vet's take over? Too many synths out there, too expensive - you find out that the features that are usable in real life music are really not that numerous on any of them. There is a difference between the features demos and creating music. Tons of stuff never really fits into anything - unless you are from different galaxy and not a human

@@mitsanut5869 The monophonic Moogs cost significantly less (about half) than the Matrixbrute thus it's not clear they could build a 16-voice polyphonic model for 8K. Either way I consider 6K to be "astronomic" as most synths on my wish list only cost three figures. If I had 6K to burn I'd get Focal SM-9 monitors. ;)

Wonderful machine, but don't get me wrong ! Probably easier to learn how to fly some Airbus A380 .. Had my paws running over it for a few minutes. Magic. Guess it's worth the Euros 1900, you can probably find similar gear, but only worse and more expensive. I imagine that the Arturia MatrixBrute teamed with the to come Novation Peak and working the lot under Ableton Live 9 and Push 2, must be something .. Only in my dreams !

I’ve never seen one for 6k. The Voyager Xl is something else, though. That said, I’d still probably take the MatrixBrute over it.
