That's how I'm gonna train myself, I've only played Ds1 so elden ring is gonna be a jump in difficulty, but if I die in one hit then I have to git gud! "Dies in one hit, weakest knight"
Random fun fact. Gideon wouldn't have had Comet Azur in this playthrough. He learns it from Azur, but because you got to it first, he couldn't. The more you know!
"I know... in my bones... if you take another step forward... you are REALLY not going to like what happens next." Obviously Gideon was going to warn you about the Radagon/Elden Beast fight, but you held X and skipped his dialogue after Gaster-Blasting his genocidal run.
😐 Im playing but it’s still not a good joke even though it wasn’t supposed to be a joke just a reference to sans using puns that aren’t even good in the first place. ( just had to point that out yknow )
It's kind of funny, I subscribed to this channel for the Elden Ring characters as DnD builds butafter binge watching the Elden ring videos I look forward to these coming out more than the Elden Ring in DnD videos
31:02 - There is a perfume recipe called the 'Uplifting Aromatic' that works the same as the Bubbletier, as well as boosting damage. I don't know how many perfume bottles you find on your speed runs, but the max is 10, if you don't mind spending the crafting mats for them.
You know, "Z Fighters" might be way easier to make here than in DND. In fact, while you haven't made him in DND, Merged Zamasu would basically be this build, but not only can you invest in vigor, it's encouraged due to Zamasu's immortality. Not to mention he dosn't even really fistfight as much as other Dragon Ball characters, so you wouldn't really be expected to toss that in.
For another character idea, Babidi could be a summon-focused build, having multiple brainwashed minions to fight for him while he uses magic to disrupt or weaken foes.
I know I'm late, but personally I love to use the Crimsonwhorl Bubbletear to negate Elden Stars. It turns all non physical damage into healing, so it's prefect for that fight, and it lasts the duration of Elden Stars.
For future reference, if you are ever having trouble with elden stars again, you can actually dodge it pretty consistently if you time it right. It's also like radagons triple hammer in that the first one always happens immediately after a certain HP threshold. Eitherway, great video; it was entertaining and beating elden ring with such low vigor is (as you know) extremely hard, even if you've got obscene damage to back it up.
I’m doing a squishy mage build right now, and about the only difference is that I put one point in vigor (10 total) and I have the Moonveil equipped in my main hand.
Rattle me bones, this was hard to watch live but your determination was truly inspiring. And I missed the live swag jump so I can't wait to see if you'll make it or if you're gonna have a bad time.
Loved the video! You're brave doing content that has anything remotely to do with Undertale. The fans can be... intense. Off topic, but I just wanted to let you know that picking up a cat by the back of the neck could cause them injury. That's only safe when they are kittens. I'm sure you're not trying to hurt your cat, but I thought I would let you know.
This is one of my favorite series related to ER on RU-vid, (and with and upvotes-to-views ratio of greater than 10% you are clearly killing it in terms of quality; shame that more people don't know about your channel.) I'm curious, and perhaps I missed it, is there a reason you didn't pick up the rock sling spell along with the meteorite staff? It has hella early game potential, especially when you're already crippling yourself with 9 vigor.
If you want to go full-on with this, the sans build can be even more painful to play; Canonically, sans doesn't just have 1 HP, he also has 1 attack and 1 defense, which would also mean banning armor from the build, and only using status effects to beat enemies, as sans does in Undertale. While the attack thing is originally gotten around by removing I-frames, the closest you could really get is using the weapon with the fewest of them, which... I dunno which one that is. Still, I can see this. People often forget that the big problem while fighting sans isn't the blasters, or sheer power; it's the speed of his attacks, and the status effect they inflict. Well, that, and the 22 turns of dodging. There's a reason he's described as 'the weakest enemy'.
I don't think that sans actually has 1 hp, it's just the player's dmg is so incredibly high that it seldom matters. What he does have is defense, which I think is the true reason behind him bring a glass canon
“Elden ring is the easiest game” Also random fact: Gideon learns moves from the bosses you defeat so if you defeat Gideon before malenia, or any boss with spells, it makes the boss fight way easier.
Love the Super Metroid jams! Really been enjoying watching the backlog of your build videos. Someone else already mentioned it, but the Crimsonwhorl tear is amazing for Elden stars, works better than any strange mis-direction through positioning or spamming Thop's Barrier. It was the last piece of the puzzle in my RL1 run.
The best way to dodge Radagon's triple hammer attack is to get CLOSE to him. The wave has a travel time, so the closer you are to him, the easier it is to match the dodge timing with the hammer strikes, and if you dodge around/behind him, you can completely avoid the 4th AoE. After learning that in my first playthrough I was dodging it reliably.
If you kill the regular dragons sleeping near the mountain of a dragon called greyoll then it'll actually kill her as well. Kill 4 and her hp drops to zero, and the dragons stay around 1/2 hp
lol. that same land octopus helped me out with the magma wyrm as well, I set up terra magica and blasted it with the comet azur while it was being assaulted like one of my japanese animes.
Those albinauric archers can actually be pulled off their roofs by Collapsing Stars, allowing you to finish them fairly easily with Haima's Gavel, Carian Greatsword, or an Int-scaling melee weapon.
Hi, I see the low vigor and I see this as an opportunity for emotional support I’m doing a level one run with the extra dumb added stipulation of not saying yes to melinda, therefore the luxuries sands has of high int, summoning, and a horse, I don’t have access to. I have 15 vigor due to soreseal. I’m 200 hours in and haven’t gone past the capital
I'm surprised you didn't focus on Night Comet & Carian Regal Sceptre with Magical Scorpion Charm. Bloodhound Step is -so- in character for Sans as well! Also, where's your Invisibility/Unseen Body?
fun thing i learned - gravity will bring the archers in ordina down and prevent them shooting you. i've done it with the lowest grav spell, it should work with gravitas as well.
I'm not sure if this was intentional, but when 21:33 hit, the exact first note played and then it was interrupted by an AD. I literally could not stop laughing and I am not ashamed.
2:48 - I call him Asperger's Skeletor. There's a couple of heckling old guys that he'd gaster blast them into oblivion. 16:30 - That's exactly what I did. 17:44 - I do. Masochism? From Software are known for making games that cater for masochists!
i don't think sans health was ever stated, just his atk and def. and when sans got hit, he suffered max damage. so for all we know, sans really rocks 60 vig, but plays on ng+7.
I cant believe he didnt know this after so many playthroughs but: You can completely negate elden stars with a physics tear alled the "crimsonwhorl bubbletear". Iits kinda hidden in the mountain tops but it converts all elemental damage into healing, thus canceling out any pure holy/fire/magic or lighting attacks. (like elsen stars)
you can actually kill the 2nd miriam in the inverted tower before you flip it. in the elevator up theres a window you can jump to, if you jump far enough out from it i think it spawns that version and it doesnt come for you after flipping the tower plus you get the spell for killing them. do note that i havent done this in several months but i doubt its been fixed. if nothing else it makes the inverted tower easier
I did this challenge as ive seen it, cuz i really love how it translates to elden ring, but dude, the magic scorpion charm would made your build even better. I also used the spirit summon of 4 ppl w greatshield against radagon, Without even leveling them, and then landed Comet azur. Only say i only fought the 2nd phase of the fight, cuz i obliterated radagon 95% of the time
this is unironically true abt pve builds just max out faith or arcane or int and kill something rlly fast with status or a broken spell like comet azure or ancient dragons lightning strike
this reminds me of several videos where someone made his character look like Saitama from "one punch man" and killed EVERY boss with ONE attack! he used a bunch of items and spells to boost attack, including one that made him rapidly lose health in exchange for an attack bonus, causing his character to die just after killing most of the bosses!
Why didn't you just go pick up the Magic Scorpion Charm as soon as you could? It gives you more damage than either of the two you had equipped (Graven Mass and Ritual Sword), so you could've used it instead of one of them.
