I bought a black dial version. It was one of the the greatest moments of my life as I saved 10 years to buy that watch. I flew from Amsterdam to London and took a coffee after 3 hours went back. Now I can do a little research and hopefully find out what what she is worth.
Great that will fetch you some cash. *I used to be a collector, but I liquidated my collection to venture into real estate. In January, I acquired homes in Malibu for $35million, and the returns on investment far exceed what I earned as a collector.
How did you grow your portfolio to $35m, I'm impressed, I have a lump sum in the bank, the rates are not impressive so I'm moving it, what's your cash flow like?
I purchased the Bi-Metal white dial with just shy of a 10% discount in 2016 from Goldsmiths. I sold it before the boom at a £600 loss. What a numpty I am!
Great info , great production. Massive amount of views deservedly so. I couldn’t afford a Platona even if they were available to a first time walk in. Lol. Thx B.B.
Good content keep it up! You should do your watch collection video of your current collection it would be cool to see whats in your personal collection!
I was actually told by an AD that any Rolex SS Daytona has to be approved by head office in your country who gets it. Could that be a fun fact I wonder?
Bi-metal black dial (non-diamond) is the one for me. If you’re doing the Sky Dweller I can confirm the Rolesor is available as a walk in. I got offered the black dial on oyster a few weeks back.
Hi I bought my sea dweller new in 1987 for £750. When my mother died in 2014 I decided to buy a deep sea with my inheritance. I found one in2015 in New Zealand for approx £6,000 before tax so I bought it, before I left the shop I noticed they had a white Daytona in the window. I knew they were rare but weren’t on my wish list, but I bought it as well for £6,500. On my return I sold it to a friend for£7,500 ……what a mistake I made and still regret
Hi Brendan I love the look of the bi metal Wight Daytona and love chronographs and own some from other brands.but last time I was in my Rolex ad I tried on the back face and it just looked so small on my wrists don't no why my Tudor black bay chronograph bi metal 41mm looks great even though I have a 8 1/2 in rest a normal 41mm sub looks fine but sea dweller looks better.im gutted as I really do like the Daytona and would have bought the white faced by metal version. Great video thanks John.
Oysterflex is hard to get though. I bought 3 for myself and 1 for my brother all in less than 1 year at same AD and still have to wait for the daytona.
How do you get a daytona oysterflex? I really like the pikachu or ghost I really like that watch and I have purchase history and my AD basically said not possible
Now this is a video I was not expecting to see today BB! Treble grand job lad. (Submariner, GMTII and now Daytona!) please can you introduce me to your AD too. Would be ecstatic to finally buy the two tone Daytona! Can travel anywhere, within reason in the UK!🇬🇧😁
I don’t really like 2-tones anymore, I prefer stainless steel or solid gold. That being said, the 2-tone yellow gold Daytona with the champagne dial and diamond indices (now discontinued) would be tempting.
Can’t say I agree. Have several friends all associated with ad’s at various purchasing stages. Only ONE has a Daytona supplied from an AD. And he plays golf with the manager of the specific retailer. They’re almost “friends”. So can’t believe for a second that this is true.
I don’t think “lie” was ever mentioned. Was it? I said “disagree” and gave my opinion, and it’s based on experience of not only me, but others I know and talk to daily. I think I’ll stop watching your videos given you don’t seem receptive to others opinions. That’s ok, it’s your perspective and you’re entitled to it. But I think I’ll spend my valuable time watching someone else…who is. Thats usually how constructive conversation works, it’s a two way thing, you know? Good luck good sir. I wish you well. 👍🏻
Rolex watches are beautiful however I feel this is a bit of a scam. It’s not about the quality of the watch. It’s about the cost of the watch. It’s like a Mercedes or BMW. It’s a deal I can afford this on my wrist look at me on a grave and I don’t feel this is based on reality. I hope I stayed on topic.
I bought this popular video watch from nkuwan , which was originally priced at a few thousand dollars, but now it's only $380! It's really suitable to pick up feces!
@@BrendanBoswell If I go grey I don't get that piece of mind of getting a genuine timepiece... I just don't want to go grey ... That's why I asked u what massive spending history really means from your point of view ...
@@Ariel.Fortelewhat do you mean? Fear of being fake? Lots of reputable grey dealers out there and the premium is not so bad anymore on some models (like the Explorers or even a Sub no date)
@@BrendanBoswell Thanks for the reply. I am currently selling my two Rolex to my AD for CPO, so am hoping that will get me up the list. I did want the Yachtmaster 2 bi-metal but it's been discontnued so Daytona is my second choice and I need to try it on before buying. I tried the all white gold one but wasn't impressed.
Love nkuwan the way you show it! You really focus on showing off the watch. I don't think any other RU-vidr can show off watches in as much detail as you.
The whole AD thing stinks, I wont play on their terms. If there is a watch in a window with a price on it and an open door the implication is clear, the watch is for sale for that price. No different to the grey market retailer across the road, who is selling exactly what's in the window to anyone with the money and they may even move slightly down on the price. What you call the grey market, the secondary market etc is in fact just the free and open market. Items sell on this market for their current market value. The so called MSRP is not relevant if 99% of people do no have access to those retail sources. You may as well quote the trade price for all the consequence it has.
Luckily I am not really that keen on Daytonas. I was told a straight 'NO' for the Panda, but, as usual, goldie looking chings are offered. Once I get a Sub I will go for the Panda again, and if it happens it happens. A new milgauss might upset the apple cart though 😈
Luxury Watch Channel talks nonsense ! Check out his company account at companies house and it’s obviously he’s very confused about the numbers he thinks he sells. Cash in hand shows he’s struggling.
@@BrendanBoswell Just read his accounts on companies house - you put his name or the company name in and it all come up. Doesn’t suggest he sells ten submariners a day !
Ever tried one on? It’s just too small. It’s a great woman’s watch but it wears even smaller than it looks. This watch needs supersizing. It’s definitely the most over hyped and overrated watch on the planet.
