To be fair. When he said he was leaving Liverpool. he said he would like to try another position in football and not management. So I’m not surprised. I’m a Liverpool fan and think he is entitled to go for other jobs. He doesn’t have to justify his decisions.
People not realising Liverpool have the biggest scout now from a massive pool of talent coming from the red bull entourage! Slot will be in touch regularly! Liverpool fans brace the journey where gems will be picked up along the way every transfer window! YNWA!!!
So you would be fine with him going to be Manchester City? Because thats basically the same kind of structure. You probably dont know much about football.
It's not about you lot, it's about Dortmund, a club that he managed not so long ago in a testimonial match, and Mainz, clubs where the fans hate rb leipzig with a passion
Jurgen will never let any football club he has managed is as simple as that poeple take the hump at anything he is so honest and brilliant at all times we at Liverpool think he is one of the best in the world as most honest football fans think the same
Because it's not YOUR rival team. Prof you care about nothing, you soulless pos. Nobody said anything about lvpl. It's about working for the most despicable Co in the sport. Ntm that they're hated by bvb. If like to see you say the same if he goes to man u!
He always said that traditional clubs are important but now joins the most coroporate club in existence. Lying like a true politician. I am not leaving morally bankrupt people alone. The others are not overhyping it, they are informed while most of you are not. If you knew the history of RB football clubs you would despise this network even more than PSG or City.
As a Liverpool supporter I think it's a good appointment. He said he'd never join another British club and that's what he's done. I hope he's successful.
It’s not about Liverpool in this situation. If you are anti super league and anti corporatisation of football you should be anti jurgen to leipzig. It’s deep irony if you do one without the other. If my dad did something out of his morals I’m still saying it. Just because he managed your club doesn’t mean he’s impervious.
As a Liverpool fan what Klopp does with his career is absolutely not my concern, the memories he gave us are brilliant and cherished but he has moved on and so have we, I wish him the very best in his on going career.
I am a Liverpool fan and I am very happy for Klopp. He gave me something I didn’t think I maybe get to see, supporting Liverpool since 95’ means I ate a lot of crap until Klopp arrived. So, I am just happy for him and hope he will do well and enjoy even more success.
He left Liverpool because he was tired of management... Now he is head of football for one of the best teams for development in youth football ❤ I will always love him ❤ so happy for him
One thing people are forgetting to mention is that last month he was literally managing Dortmund in a testimonial match for 2 of his former Dortmund players, it's not like he has ignored Dortmund since he left, he was 90 minutes away from becoming a Dortmund legend and i'm sure some considered him as such
As a Liverpool supporter I’ve not got a problem with Klopp taking this job, it would have been different if he went to manage another club but he didn’t so leave him alone, god knows why Dortmund are upset he left them years ago get over it, good luck Jurgen.
@neutronzz3543 the biggest gains are for slot getting inside information for players to purchase from a huge pool of incoming talent through the red bull ranks! Wow what a partnership 😂
You’d be pissed if he would’ve waited another 2-3 years and started being head of football at any other prem league club too. What he did for Dortmund was historic
@@anthonyfernwood8093 so it would be ok if he became man city manager after pep ends his contract, right? After all it wasnt a direct move, at that point he left Liverpool ages ago
It's a big deal if you know about 50+1 in Germany and football integrity but I guess most of generation FIFA doesn't so it explains most of the comments here.
Biggest scout for slot trust me this is a groundbreaking agreement where Liverpool will hand pick from a pool of talent and slot will be cooking even more every transfer window!😊
Crazy to think that Klopp becoming the face of an energy drink is the final straw for some Dortmund fans. And not their club's deal with an arms manufacturer. Or a Celtic fan being set upon by police at their ground for taking a stand against genocide.
I’m a Liverpool fan and I don’t care he can do what he wants we will always love him as long as he’s not managing another rival club he can go where he likes
I mean where were the sensationalist headline when Ronaldo went to the Saudi, Mark? Hypocrisy doesn't suit anyone. When he signed for slave state money your words were "Disappointed, but I hope he has found inner peace". As a United fan, I think Klopp are more than right to do this without any moral quandaries.
As a Liverpool fan, I love klopp but tbf if he joined the city group in an executive role I’d be pretty pissed and it would maybe tarnish his legacy a bit.
Not sure what exactly the problem. He is not exactly managing these clubs, he is more like a tactical consultant for these clubs. He is not coaching rival teams either so what's the fuss anyway?
As a Liverpool supporter I'm fine with it. He's a football man at the end of the day. There was more going on at Liverpool than just tiredness and he owes us nothing.
Dortmund Fans should remember Dortmund was almost bankrupt when Klopp arrived , and Klopp had to play with a bunch of Young unknown Players and build title winning Team from that. Klopp & Watze helped to get the finances back in place. But a Football Club needs a lot of Money to stay in the upper part of the table it is very unlikely that a Club constantly Overperformances on small Budget. The RB Trick to have a Premium Team and Team for Talents that want to join the Premium Team is implemented in Football by having Multiple Clubs in different countries. Jürgen Klopp will help RB to convince Talents to sign @ RB
Hes joining a Organisation that's universally hated in Germany. Its as if he joined the City football group. He could have gone everywhere but he chose the one Germans hate the most
Honestly, Klopp left Liverpool because he was tired of being a true Manager but i also think FSG (Liverpool's owners) played a huge part. They rarely backed him financialy and as we saw in this transfer window, they arent willing to pull out their wallet when our squad needs strengthening and more deepth, only signing Chiesa for 12m and a GK for next season when we have Alisson.
might be good news, RedBull football actually churns out good young players, and having Klopp being a Liverpool Ambassador, liverpool football club can get better inside scoop to upcoming youngsters and Klopp could be a secondary scout in a way :)
I hate Bxb but I can actually understand the enemy in this case. The fight against the commercialisation of football especially in Germany is fought by most German fans. Klopp was someone who stood for the passion in football and seeing him doing that is a stab in the back
Even if Klopp went to a rival epl team, Liverpool fans would be hurt, but eventually, we'll get over it. Not for the lack offers but he stood true to his word. Nothing but love and respect for Kloppo
I don't care as a Liverpool fan. Multi-club ownership is not against the rules, and it doesn't really bother me. As a company, Red Bull are pretty innocuous. Want an example of evil corporations? Look at the massive amount of human rights violations AXA and Standard Chartered are implicated in. As a Liverpool fan, having these names on our shirts bothers me way more.
Let the man do his job. Say what you want about Red bull they managed the clubs well ...I personally I think the drink is toxic 😂 Dormund are a selling club all about the money 🤑. People in glass houses shouldnt throw stones ...
From a footballing sense it makes sense, players developed through the red bull group are some of the biggest stars in the world and they all come up through the same style of play klopp loves, he can help develop these players and the philosophy of theses clubs
@@Markyy____ When has Klopp spoken out against clubs like RB Salzburg etc? He's only ever praised them. People are condemning him for what's in their own heads, lol.
@@Markyy____ Like you haven't had an opinion on something and changed your mind later in life. Develop some character of your own before criticising others.
Half our recent signings have come from the red bull system, we have loaned and sold players to red bull teams aswell. Hell , our old assistant manager is managing a red bull team... Dont see why any Liverpool fan would be mad at this.
Man needs to work, I wish him many more years of success and happiness in whatever he chooses to do. Thank you Klopp, you delivered what you said YNWA.
In 2022 Klopp had this to say about RB Leipzig. "I know how much the Red Bull idea is criticised by traditionalists and I'm one of those too". He seems to be following in his former captain's footsteps.
As a liverpool fan, the man can do what he likes, he gave me some of the happiest years of my life and i wish him nothing but happiness and success in his future endeavours.
TBH I don't really mind since its not a management job. If he took another management job I could possibly feel differently. When it comes to the RB hate I'm not really fussed personally. It's understandable why the German fans are upset though because they cherish the 50+1 rule which RB spit in the face of. Personally I think the 50+1 rule works in favour of the bigger clubs which isn't fair.
Don't forget, Dalglish did something similar. Quit Liverpool due to stress & fatigue (Feb, 1991), only to take on the Blackburn job later the same year (Oct, 1991).
I don't know about dortmund fans....but as a liverpool fan our clubs are very similar and development of football and young players is what he is best at and i'm very happy for him. He will always be a legend!!!!
Liverpool fan here. Happy for him. He’s getting paid, doesn’t have to manage, and isn’t at rival club. Let him, do him. None of us Liverpool fans care.
Liverpool supporter… I agree with you Mark. He was always going to get a high profile job after Liverpool. This sounds like the type of vague job that offers lots of intrigue without a high amount of stress.
hmmmm, I wonder how we could equate that to UK football? Wonder how Liverpool fans would feel if he was head of Redbull Soccer should Leeds be competing with / often beating Liverpool (that would be the Leipzig / Dortmund UK equivalent maybe......). Liverpool fan - Klopp has often had a ruthless streak in him (which makes him who he is, by the way). He fought against a few things at Liverpool (didn't like it when LFC were boo'd after Super League proposed joining, didn't like flags being taken down from the Kopp when there was a dispute over.... ticket prices I think?), He has even admitted in the past that he got a few things 'wrong', and needed fan bases to 'remind him'. But, for me, seems like a sensible move. But maybe I wouldn't think that if I was a Dortmund fan. The 'edge' that always exists with Klopp, in my opinion: he is a winner. And sometimes, that means beating the people he used to be best friends with. I'm sure Dortmund fans were singing his name from the roof when he was beating Mainz by the way hahah. In regards to football globalisation? Redbull are the moderates compared to some of the owners out there hah! YNWA Klopp - missed sorely at Liverpool
I am glad Jurgen came back into German football and not a major rival like Real or Barca I would have found that more unpalatable I do not feel betrayed Germany is his home I think he is ideally suited to the German national job
As a Liverpool fan, I don't feel betrayed. He is entitled to apply for jobs. After all, he said it wouldn't be a football club management role. He didn't have the energy for this. This is a different role. Good luck to him. YNWA KLOPP.
Still not the management of a team, he's not going back to the sideline. International head of Football for Redbull. That includes everything they own. Executive position in a suit and in an office with his feet up! Where they deserve to be.
I am a life long LFC fan and I dont feel sort of animosity towards Jurgen Klopp. He took on the LFC job and took as far as he thinks he could. I wish him well in his new job. He will always be a Liverpool legend!!!
anyone in the media overhyping this or acting like it’s some painful betrayal just wants views. any reasonable Liverpool fan is okay with whatever Jurgen has chosen. he did not break his promise now let it be
He's not going to claim unemployment is he. This is exactly the right job for him. He is involved in the game but in a way that isn't the 24/7 pressure cooker of management.
Is that the world we live in today, when every decision we make is so heavily scrutinised as though everyone has the right to judge everyone else? Wow! That is not something I am comfortable with but I guess I am in the minority. Leave the man alone. He has made a career decision just as we all make career decisions. It is not our place to judge him.
People need to shut up about the Red Bull group. They are putting football in the forefront of their clubs and not the commercial aspect. Yes they can buy more expensive players, but they rarely do so. And now they are at the top of german football using young talented players and coaches with a philosophy of Gegenpress rock an roll football. Salzburg have appointet Jurgen Klopps right hand mand Pepijn Lijnders as their coach. And remember, without Red Bull football there would be No Klopp, no Tuchel, No Nagelsmann and a lot of other young exciting managers and coaches, because Red Bull organisation made these people what they are today. They all either came from their manager and coaching academy or was inspired by the man who started them. Ralf Rangnick
As Liverpool fan am quite happy for him to do anything he likes, he served Liverpool fantastically well. I think this job is more promotional and giving his knowledge to RB sports. If he decides to be a manager again then I wish him well. Slot v Klopp in a match would be great lol 😂
Personally just don’t see it as that big of a deal. Don’t think there is a big club in the world that isn’t commercialised. No one was going to be happy when he got a new job because we all want him at ours but I’m just happy he’s happy.
