It's so tragic that at the start of her story Ymir lied and sacrificed her life to save other people, and now, even after promising that she'd live for herself, she still chooses to sacrifice her life to save Burnttoast and Reiner. While she seems selfish on the surface, Ymir truly is one of the most selfless characters in the show.

10:05 don't forget killing Titans is a lot harder than it seems, mi casa and Levi make it look easy and so do a lot of the good scouts, but it's really hard to fight Titans, especially without any sort of tree or building to get around. Hannes was trying his best, but he could do it for a few reasons, not having proper ground to hook on to and maneuver was definitely a big one

10:20 the images of Armin holding Jean and waving that sword at the small titan always get to me. Hannes wasn't playing with Smiley. It's extremely hard to go where you WANT to go if you can't a set a cable anchor on a well or tree near the titan. Only the best with ODM gear (like Mike) can do that reliably.

Actually Hannes is not playing. He is soldier in Garison he trained to use military equipments unlike scouts not trained for killing titans.

Btw, the speech Mikasa had with Eren was just her thanking Eren for giving her a purpose and for wrapping her scarf around her when they were kids(which will be significant on later episodes). Basically, it's just a love confession between the two. It also gave Eren the determination to heal quickly now that Mikasa gave him the courage to fight back. Even in a weak state, he go as far as punching the titan without transforming to briefly hold it off from capturing them, but instead made them discover his secret real power. Anw you guys are so genuine with your reactions and I love that you try to dissect the story even if some of it is too far off😆 can't blame you tho cuz this show will make you think all kinds of things. Notice how every scene where we see Mikasa from Eren's POV(for example at 13:46) she always looks beautiful. The art changes arent just stylistic choices theyre deliberate. We are literally seeing her how Eren sees her. There are a few more scenes like this where we see Erens POV. Watch out for it. Also side note, did you notice when Ymir first transformed in the show and climbed back to the top of the tower to tell Eren, Reiner, Bertold and Christina to grab onto her Bertold had his hand in his mouth and was about to bite. It was right there hidden in plain sight.
