To be honest, sprinters are not that fast nowadays. You're falling for the hype. 12 to 16 years ago, we had guys dropping 9.5, 9.6 and 9.7s low. Nowadays, they're struggling to go 9.8s low. In the 200m, I don't see anything big happening in the near future.

@@TheoOJamaloO1 he runs sub 10 in the 100m as a junior. In my 35 years with track that’s pretty fast and especially for a youngster.

@@cdub8047 That wasn't legal because the wind was over the legal limit. His fastest legal time is 10.04

@@TheoOJamaloO1 10.05 is still an extremely very fast time. He is not known to dominate the 100m at the highest level but that by no means suggests this bro is slow and can only run fast with a running start. If he worked on the 100m like Noah did, you folks will be shocked; also, he is still very young just turned 20 this year.

If they get the baton around. We all know what has happened in the past..

not sure how that guy on the 3rd leg managed to flub that baton change as Lyles set off perfectly and had his hand back waiting for 6 or 7 strides for that baton, the only thing i can think of is the 3rd leg was flagging and didnt realise how fast Lyles can get to his top speed now but who knows, its been mentioned previously last year that Fahnbulleh would do well in a relay with a running start, he has some awesome top end speed its his start that leaves him so far behind, maybe he should go see Lyles coach after how much improvement he has made in his starts and in the 60m

Isn't it both that are at fault? 3rd may not run as fast as Lyles expected, but surely, it is also Lyles' responsibility to know his teammates?

That was Lyles... over hyped due to the inside team going before him. He needs to be better than letting another team get him off his timing.

Knighton ate that 3rd leg up.
