KOLKATA METRO is building a NEW METRO LINNE FROM NOAPARA TO BARASAT via AIRPORT. This line is being built by partially modifying the old Eastern Railway Line from DUMDUM CANTONMENT to AIRPORT. New Tunnels have been built upto AIRPORT. In this video, we bring to you the construction update of Noapara to Airport section of this metro line, also known as KOLKATA METRO YELLOW LINE. #kolkatanews #kolkatavlog #kolkatametro

Just imagine you landed in kolkata airport then went to underground to board the metro then within 1 hr you came to howrah station and catch your train to your destination. Transportation is the main reason that can save your time from home to work or vice versa. And that increase your output towards your duty, productivity. Which indirectly welcomes more n more companies to settle there. Kolkata metro is exactly trying to do this.

@@ccx22 Kolkata has biggest and best suburban and urban rail network. Every point is well connected by rail. Howarh which is biggest railway station in subcontinent, then we have sealdha and Kharagpur. No other cities have that much of network. The network is so vast that kolkata don't need that much of metro network which delhi has. Here what im talking is connecting a metro network which touch howrah station, sealdha station, kolkata airport upto Newtown sector-V. When this will achieve the connectivity will be better than delhi. On the other hand delhi only has metro to cover up the gap.

Kolkata is really not lucky like other cities to have free space. That's why due to all other reasons, it gets delayed in procuring land(after seeing the video of that building below the girders. Horrible. Same like the Joka- BBD route got clearance to dig under Maidan some months back only.

Nice video editing! It’s so good to see all the new metro lines being constructed. Now let’s keep up the pace and bring these to life. Trials are running for East West metro, also New Garia to Ruby. Let’s hope next steps are completed soon and these sections are started at least for East West. Will be good to get an update of Orange line construction from Chingrighata to Airport specially with the contested section near Mahishbathan. You can see many new pillars being constructed but overhead tracks are yet to be completed.

What happened to Ruby-New Garia stretch of the Orange Line? It got the CRS certificate way back in March and was going to open on Poila Boishakh (15th April), even fare chat was released but the inauguration still didn't happen till now.

@@SHUBHAMSG Even if the viaduct is completed it'll gonna take a longer time to inaugurate because tracks need to be laid, fresh trial runs need to be started between Ruby and Beleghata. And also those stations have to be completed for commercial use too.

@@SHUBHAMSG Though I support your comments and atleast the distance of prior 9.5kms stretch (Kavi Subhash-Beleghata) is both economically viable and accelerate the ridership than 5km Kavi Subhash-Ruby stretch. But features of that will take about a more 6 months to complete like completing some parts of viaducts, laying tracks and civil structure etc.. And as for now still some entry/exit gates for Ruby and Kalikapur stations are yet to be complete fully to run commercial services which can be a result of delaying.

@@lifeboy1978 NYC Subway metro system (399 km) and Delhi NCR metro (390 km) does not have any significant gap...infact, Delhi metro is much modern in comparison to Old Nyc Subway. Sanghai metro is obviously larger. But, Sanghai Airport pvg is not as good in terms of traffic and connectivity in comparison to IGI.

That line cannot be made because there are water pipelines under BT Road. Needs realignment, it might be possible to do something over Kalyani expressway, but nothing decided yet.
