One of my favorite things about this movie is that they manage to show the villian to be a scary sociopath, only to do the extremely rare thing of revealing the hero to be *way* scarier and more sociopathic.

Survived a near death experience yourself and we are happy to have you around to keep us entertained. Saw this movie in theatre during whole Covid mess. Loved it for grittiness and action. Same writer and producer as John Wick. Didn't know or forgot that Christopher Lloyd was in it, awesome. Even Michael Ironside makes an appearance. Thanks you two!

Great reaction video! This movie is from the writers that did John Wick, so that is why it is so similar. Nobody 2 is coming in 2024. The writer said that it does take place in the John Wick timeline and universe and they may even team them up in the future.

Some theory on Hutch’s tattoo and why the old veteran freaks out when he sees it. Though there doesn’t seem to be any connection to any real military unit, the cards have some significance. From IMDb: The tattoo on Hutch's wrist, a Seven of Spades and a Two of Diamonds, is statistically the worst possible starting hand you can be dealt in Texas Hold 'Em, since they are the lowest two cards that cannot make a straight (there are four cards between 2 and 7), and both of them are off-suit. This could be interpreted in two ways. First, it could mean that Hutch’s former unit was used to operating under the worst possible circumstances, with no “aces up their sleeves” - in other words, operating behind enemy lines with no backup and denial of their existence from their bosses if they were to be caught by the enemy. Second, it could mean to the person seeing them that their luck had completely run out and they had been dealt the worst hand possible by encountering the wearer of the tattoo.

Remember in John Wick 4 the Tracker introduced himself to John as ‘Nobody’ and this was written by the same guy, so crossover? Seems possible.

What I love about this movie is that Bob/Hutch doesen't walk away from a brutal and epic fight without a scratch, he takes as good as he gives. I think the reason it didn't do as good as John Wick is that not many were willing to accept Bob Odenkirk as an action start but more of a scummy ambulance chasing coward lawyer. Me? I loved every second and was totally blown away buy it the first time I saw it as well as every time since. I love Hutch much better than Saul. ✌Peace✌

It still strikes me unusual that Bob Odenkirk is becoming this type of actor. I've known him as Bob Odenkirk the comedian since that late 80's/early 90's!! First became familiar with his name as a member of the cast of "The Ben Stiller Show" on Fox in the early 90's. LOVED that show when it was on!! Then came the ALL IMPORTANT "MR. SHOW with Bob and David". They have full episodes for free on RU-vid, I HIGHLY SUGGEST IT!! 😊

One of the more enjoyable things about this movie for me is that it framed a fatal confrontation between Hutch and Yulian as inescapable and then committed to it. To the point that even when he gives Yulian a "choice," it's not really much of a choice. Regardless of whether Yulian went after Hutch or not, the Russian mob was still going to be after for his head. And even though Hutch beating the absolute hell out of Yulian's brother and his buddies was only a random incident and he had no idea who Yulian even was, from the perspective of Yulian and his fellow mobsters the whole incident was a brutal, incredibly public failed hit on Yulian's family. Something he absolutely couldn't let go unpunished. Neither he or Hutch were in a position where they could just walk away, they'd have someone coming to kill them regardless. Seeing things through to the end was the only real option for either of them.

When the government wants someone gone without a trace, hutch the man they call 😂

I liked this movie, specially on what it goes away from John Wick. This is not "slick action". Is dirty, messy, and maybe even more brutal. And more pointless. JW had a legit reason to go to war with Viggo. Hutch went off the road because the frustration about not getting the GOD DAMNED KITTY KAT BRACELETT, MF".

As I have always said, to anyone who says that "the pen is mightier than the sword", I will gladly accept your challenge in one on one combat on an open field. My sword against your pen. I will unsheath and resheath my sword in one fluid motion and leave the blood from either your armpit or inner thigh on blade and mount it permanently with a plaque that would read "the pen is definitely not mightier than the sword". You will die without immediate medical attention. Even then arterial bleeding is very deadly. Minutes to live deadly.

I believe John Wick and Nobody producer or writer is married and is rumored to be in the same world of John wick but not part of the high table but who knows what they are going to do.

John Wick is cool with it's underground ect but I love this for it's more realistic fights ect. He is not perfect a bit rusty but hero none the less.

You mentioned the last line of Good Will Hunting "Son of a bitch, stole my line". That was improv by Williams. They had tried a bunch of lines and none of them worked, and he improv'd that and the director loved it.

I disagree that those guys didn’t have it coming. they basically caused a collision with a city bus and could have injured or killed people in that collision; then they harassed that young woman on the bus when they saw she was practically alone with an “old man”. he was totally justified in f*cking them up imo. anyway, since this movie is by the same folks who made John Wick, a crossover-type sequel isn’t out of the realm of possibility and I’d LOVE to see it! ❤

First thing I ever saw Bob Odenkirk in was Mr. Show with David Cross. I loved that show it had a great cast.

RZA was The Man with The Iron Fists and he was also in Derailed with Clive Owen and Jennifer Anniston.

If it’s not been said the tattoo that Hutch has is one that the elite special forces have. I don’t remember the exact cards but it is a poker hand that is supposed to be almost impossible to win with and it symbolizes that no matter what you will succeed. It’s kinda the mark of the craziest of the crazy which is why when the one vet saw it he got out.
