Dr Chee is almost 60 years of age but he looks like in his 30's. The amount of sufferings he has gone through... He was sued, jailed, defamed, humiliated, fined, harassed but still soldiered and struggled on, much to the admiration and respect of Singaporeans. Any other weaker soul would have long given up, not able to stand the numerous onslaughts of the PAP. But Dr Chee stands still. It baffles the PAP too!
Support Dr Chee and all the opposition. Together we can make a change! Don't let upgrading greeds blinded yr voting. They will take back all the money using many schemes in years to come. Don't be selfish and think of the future of our generation
Noorul yes you are right. This man was tested to the extreme even until today. He could have been very wealthy and excel in his own career if not for the sake of true democracy of fellow singaporeans. All these years, he had already proved why we need more oppositions in parliament. For our children for our grandson. Comeon batokians.

Took many many years but SG hearts are starting to endear to Dr Chee. I was initially sad that although he has been campaigning for 30 years, only now there seems to be a chance that he'll win a seat. But then I realized something. Call it epiphany or whatever you will.... But prrobably God wanted him to be more wiser, experience and knowledgeable befofe putting him in parliament. His path is a difficultt one - but i like to think.. one with God's blessings and the people's true support.
@whosthat I will accept it if he loses and he may never reap what he has been sowing over many years - in this life. But this idea comforts me... No matter how tyranical or peace loving the individual is... we can take comfort that on Judgement Day, all reward and retribution will be metted out fairly to the tiniest of atom. CSJ is not the monster that the establishment and media makes him out to be. They do not dare to debate his ideas properly and when they do, they twist the context or misrepresent. He deserves to speak in parliament, he has earned it

I owned a company before, when we need to get staff, we'll do the usual advert online Jobstreets etc . The applications from FOREIGNERS are easily 80% overall., from India, Myanmar, Malaysia etc. with lower expected salary . These applicants are either still in their native country or in Singapore residing with their relatives while looking for job. it's so open here in Singapore. My daughter graduated from local university several months ago,she put in the extra effort to finish all the required modules. Even before the Covid 19, she couldn't get a job and countless interviews...As a father, I have to continue encourage positivity and supports, and I know how badly she wanted to be independent and stop imposing her parents. I have to tell you young Singaporeans out there.. I am not optimistic to be honest. All you want is to apply for a job and what you find in yr own country are foreigners in-waiting, interviews by foreigners if you are so unfortunate. I 've been to numerous countries for work, no other country is this lenient to foreigners looking for jobs in their country. I think the current PAP has not the ability to imagine this been perpetuated for so many years now . Think about what I just said. Maybe it's time to focus more on what's happening in yr own country, indifference, ignorance isn't going to solve the problem! This is just 1 of them. My apology for the long read.

Preeti's interviewing skills really puts mediacorp's clowns to shame. Very thoughtful and intelligent questioning peppered with light humour makes this so engaging and brings out the charm and genuineness of Dr Chee. Its a pity he lost the elections because Singapore needs leaders like him.
I stayed up late night yesterday just to learn that he lost Bukit Batok to Mr.Murali. Mr.Murali clearly stated that he would work for the BB part-time basis, while Dr.Chee has invested his full time here. Yet, people still voted him out and Mr.Murali is still running BB. So sad to see Dr.Chee's effort, passion and dedication is not appreciated.

I attended Dr Chee's rally at Raffles Place in 2015. He is one of the most eloquent, charasmatic speaker, smart and he has so much fire in him. What amazes me is, he still has that today -the never-give-up attitude, the values he holds on to. I really pray hard for him to receive the supports and march into Parliment. A man who tried so hard for so many years will no doubt value and treasure the opportunity to be able to serve because if he failed, he knows he is out the next GE. Fellow Singaporeans, please give him the chance.
I migrated to Australia twenty over years ago. Previously I owned a migration agency in Australia. I had helped Singaporeans and non Singaporeans working in Singapore to migrate to Australia. In fact, more foreign workers working in Singapore approached me to migrate to Australia. My impression is: these foreign workers are merely using Singapore as a stepping stone to migrate somewhere else. They were mainly the white collar workers. They remained in Singapore initially because of the value of the Sing dollar. After they have earned enough, they just want to move to to a more relaxing environment, such as Australia. The government needs to understand this: the old mentality of early migrants making roots in Singapore no longer exist. The modern day foreign workers we see have no sense of commitment or belonging here. Our economy cannot depend on them. In times of crisis, it is the Singaporeans who would stand with Singapore, not the foreigners. Loyalty to our nation comes from our people.

Bump into you once almost twenty years ago at bedok interchange when you were distributing flyers. What I like is Preetipls' professionalism here. Instead of constantly interjecting Chee with rude responses, she listens, lets him answer questions and eventually conclude the episode without getting too politically "involved".

Dr Chee is a nice individual. We definitely need more candidates from SDP and WP contesting in the next GE 2025. Lightning party MPs are highly paid doing nothing... Dr Chee, don't lament over your loss. You got 45%. PM-to-be only managed to garner 53%. You had a great win!
