In Texas, it is illegal to carry Wire Cutters on your person in public A law back from cattle rustling days of cutting barbered wire fences. Rustling livestock still happens in Texas.
@Upemm correct, but it is collected by nesting birds while wet in coastal NH, which one I'm not sure, but endangered ones. Fish, wildlife, and the occasional CG vessel will enforce vigorously.
@Upemm also, back in 2016, there was a repealed law about harvesting seaweed competitively, but I don't think this former statute applies to the short.
Shame on the lawmakers that do not scrub these old laws from the books. There are laws that say that a black man and a white woman cannot check into a hotel together. Even if we don't prosecute violations of these laws why do we keep creating new laws without removing these old laws from the bucks?
So I'm all good if I do it from the third floor. A town I used to live in, in New York had a law saying it was illegal to walk around on Sunday with an ice cream cone in your back pocket.
When I was in high school in the late 80s not only was it against the law to sell alcohol on a Sunday it was against the law for regular stores to be open. Imagine an entire mall with the only thing being open is that one restaurant.
