Nobody ever compliment Kronii's voice before 

true, everyone realize this, everyone need this but noone is willing to compliment each other and it is even sadder for some ugly mf like me, I only get like, you are really nice from my female friend and that is pretty all I got lol

This, really. Some compliments, no matter how small seeming, can stay with a person for a long time.

From my experience this is completely true. Making a compliment to someone can really have a huge impact on their personal view and confidence.

I think it has to do with social standing in comparison to the other person, and definitely partly about gender. For instance in this case it was an old woman so was seen as harmless by you, but if it had been say an ugly woman closer to your age, you would likely have seen it as her hitting on you and would probably have been put off more than anything. Compliments about physical traits are generally balked at unless you're sufficiently attractive or seen as harmless. A greater age gap may smoothen the delivery depending on the nature of the compliment, as there is less suspicion of romantic/carnal intent. But more than anything, established patterns determine how your actions are viewed. If you've never given out a compliment before in the social network that you are a part of, its significance will be judged all the greater and possibly viewed as more than what you intended. The rule of scarcity, diminishing returns etc. Compliments are a power play in some ways, it may be that only people who are content and secure within themselves are handing out genuine compliments. In contrast, you've got the I wish I had your X, which comes across more like whining about their own lot. And of course you've got the brown nosers complimenting their bosses or otherwise higher in the social hierarchy. There are many factors to consider for a successfully delivered/received genuine compliment, so little wonder that they're rare.

I just can see myself not commenting about it at all even if i have a friend who have a voice as good as kronii. Somehow giving compliment face to face isnt easy

Actually I’ve never seen anyone complement another about their voice. It just isn’t an irl thing I guess.

@@mond2440 I think it has to do with VTubers being "virtual" - as viewers, we judge a VTuber as "cute" based on a few factors (appearance, design, mannerisms, voice). But only the voice (and speaking tics, stuff like that), really, is a characteristic that is an outwardly part of the _person_ behind the VTuber. When you see someone in reality, complimenting their voice feels weird because, unless it's in a specific context like singing, it's just part of who they are as a real person that is made up of a bunch of different characteristics. And when you talk with them for more than a few seconds, then you become used to these individual characteristics, so they're less noticeable. On the other hand, for a VTuber, it's the only real link, and a very unique one, with the real person that's behind the VTuber. Therefore, it can never be a part of the ensemble that makes up the characteristics of a VTuber - I mean, never at the same level. Shorter version, I think, is that voice == part of real human alongside other parts, but =/= virtual part of virtual human alongside other parts. So voice == less noticeable in real humans, but == more noticeable in virtual ones. Thanks for attending my TED talk.

Yeah, actually it happened to me I was on a bus and one man got on and he started to talk, I immediately thought he had a really good voice, he was selling candies and I just gave him money because of his voice but I didn't tell him. Other reason for Kronii not receiving compliments for her voice may be that she uses Kronii's voice during streams but not irl, it happens with a locutor called "el Chombo" who has a really great voice but only he's doing his job, irl he has a "normal voice"

Yeah as someone who's a bit reserved and shy in most situations there's no way I'd just out and out say "your voice sounds cool and cute as the same time" to a girl. I feel like I'd come off cringe or big simp vibes if I did that shit.

I told someone they had a good voice for radio one time as a compliment and they responded with "thanks, I also have a face for radio" and I shit you not it took me a solid 2 minutes to understand the comeback.
