Here is a popular song of the day , recorded by many of the great bands and singers in the 1920s, 30s, 40s . This was arranged for our band by Jeff Hart on Alto/Sop /Cl Recorded at Shannondell Retirement Center
I'm 25 and I love 1920's jazz very much. It's actually the love of my life, quite frankly. I've played alto saxophone for 12 years and clarinet for 7 years because of the mere existence this music. Sadly, almost no one understands my love of it, and many of the musicians in my area don't improvise. As a result, it's also hard for me to perform it. Seeing bands like this still active today gives me more hope for another traditional jazz revival.
Wow! This is this best video yet from another superb performance by the "Blackbird Society Orchestra". You guys really nailed it once again and make the viewer feel like we are watching a performance from 100 years ago. Another brilliant guitar and vocal Richard and it sounds like you guys have been playing together forever. Hopefully somemore video's like this one for the future as It's great to see your live performances up so close. Keep up the great work guys!
