My Fellow Texans FAM(N)'s... If I'm not mistaken, 3 and I think 4 of the defensive Free Agents picked averaged 10 or more sacks during the 2023 - 2024 each.... I respect the DT comment but I respectfully disagree. That's 40 sacks! Just half of that amazing output is 20 sacks! Head Coach Demeco Ryans has created a culture that has these guys 'wanting' to achieve, to not just compete, but instead to win and win with Class, Professionalism, Attitude, Zest, Intelligence, Heart and SWAG!!! I say that because remember how the defense played last season, intense for the greater part of the season. This upcoming defense is going to be a nightmare. The upcoming Texans defense has added not just Experienced players who are exceptional, but these guys are Smart, they have football I.Q. and are leaders. Everyone of them has 'athletic ability and talent' yards apart from their Gridiron Brothers. But what's really frightening; all that spice sprinkled... almost... perfectly in an already talented, energetic, fast and atheltic defense. Let me close with this.... If we focus on mid to long term goals, that is; this team I believe, last season 'Set The Standard' and it is also The Foundation. So this year, the defense/team, the entire Texans organization should draft Offensive Lineman because those lineman are going to be around for a while so they can develop i.e. learn subtle nuances of mental, physical and blocking techniques that only those men in the trenches understand. The O -Line is where the games are lost or WON! Did y'all know that the O - line of The Ravens has an incredible stat that blew me away. I'm paraphrasing. During the game, I believe... just prior to halftime, one of the announcers said, 'The offensive lineman of The Ravens average about 150 games each." And I can definitely see that because in the second half, we were outclassed. Those O-Lineman dominated and I think it's because of all that game experience, those subtle nuances combined with their just being outright more physical speaks for itself. Let there be NO DOUBT!' Andy Reeds is brainy, but DeMeco Ryans is a soul resonator tuned to the frequency of winning. Our defence will be as terrifying as it gets considering he is working from his selected pieces, so yes DT isn't as important imo as well. Full focus on O-line must be the move, and maybe another receiver and corner in case of injuries. The only way I see us not getting 5,000 passing yard is if CJ doesn't have time. We need a robust rotating O line that produces lasts til the Super Bowl, cause if CJ has time I will always bet on us winning backyard type "get open" football with the weapons we have now. Its a Texans SWARM descending upon the NFL and I love it!

Diggs fell off because the offense went away from passing to do more running. prior to the Off Coordinator change he was on pace to do 1400-1500 yards. It's not always the athlete who affects the system. Sometimes it's the system that affects the athlete. Besides, with all of the weapons available, he's not going to be needed to put up top 3 #s... This move is going to open up the offense for everyone.

Declined towards the end of last season. I think it was due to issues within the organization & simply the fact he just didn’t get targeted much. He’s still an ELITE route runner around the short/intermediate areas of the field. He’s declining as an athlete (not by a ton). This means he’s probably not going to be a huge deep threat, but that’s not really what the texans need. I think he’s a perfect fit.

And that's what makes it better cause now if the Texans make it to the playoffs again they'll establish fear in the league. Everyone would take them seriously including the ones playing them.
