Thank you for making sure you point out which direction the fan should be blowing when installing it. Most install videos for these coolers do not tell you which way. Awesome video!

Awesome video. I just got a NH D15S Chromax Black. I'm putting it on a AM5 socket, so i was a little perplexed that the directions don't have any mention of the new AMD type. Anyway, long story short, even though you're doing an AM4, your video really helped me.

Hello. Thanks for the video! What is the real height of this tower cooler (Noctua NH-D15) with RAM installed? The front fan is located above the RAM bars, they do not allow the fan to be as low as the middle one. What is the maximum height of the RAM slats is acceptable, so that the front fan fastened does not exceed 165mm? What will the author say in response?

The one I'm using is the Noctua NH-D15S and is 165 mm the Fan does go about 5mm higher, the NH-D15 is the same rated Height. I'm using slightly taller Ram (G Skill) in a current build and there is no issue with Ram Clearance at all. I can't say for certain the Ram Height but most should be fine. If you have a specific brand your planning to use let me know and I'll check it out as I have far to much Ram so might as well use it for something.

How much of the extra RAM clearance offered by the NH-D15S disappears if you mount a second 140mm fan on it?

The Fan would not impact the Ram Clearance at all as they have allowed such a huge height allowance for Ram, even the tallest Ram would still fit.

Going for this NH D15S going to use it on 5800X3D :) I have a DeepCool Maelstrorm 240mm but its old ... max temps I've got were around 82-83C I hope this cooler will take it lower !

my screws do not tighten anymore, is there a momentum protection or do I need to push hard to make the screw grip the thread?

So need a bit more info, what do you mean by momentum protection? The screws should fasten securely to your MB, once it tightens don't over tighten or it might cause issues. You should feel it once it is secured to the MB. Let me know if I misunderstood and I'll see what more I can provide.

I've had a couple occasions of new damaged Ryzen 5000 CPU's myself (2/5 CPU's). First, Amazon shipped a Ryzen 9 5900X in an unpadded envelope. The box was completely smashed upon delivery. I didn't even bother opening that one. I just immediately returned it. Second, I had a Ryzen 7 5800X that the packaging was 100% perfect. I went to install the CPU and discovered a few bent pins and had to bend them back myself under magnification. The CPU does work now without issues however that certainly wasn't guaranteed. It's a very frustrating thing to find on new parts. I hope it all worked out for you in the end.

It did actually, they allowed me to RMA it and gave me a new one. So it worked out but took a bit of back and forth to get them to agree but in the end all is good. Glad you got yours replaced with no issues. Thanks

This is the same installation for a delta IV cooler, its got 14 heat pipes, so its a little different but mounts the same as described above on a 5950x am4 board

I was worried about this as well, but it's really not as heavy as it looks. I've been using it for a few weeks now and it's not caused any issue's with bends or anything of that nature. It works really great.

did everything in the video, the cooler fits on one screw the other screw is an 1/8th of an inch off from fitting, im using the am4 adapter that came with the cooler, any ideas of what im doing wrong?

Check that the pieces that got in the slots are sitting flush because if it's not that would be the 1/8th inch your referring to. One of them might have moved.

Yeah, you'd think a place that I've spent so much at would be more inclined to want to help me rather then distrust me. Still going to try AMD but likely won't work, so I'll try to fix it again then sadly buy a 2nd one if it doesn't work. At least the install went well. Take Care man.

This one is the highest rated one, but the Thermalright’s Assassin X 120 R SE and DeepCool’s LT720 scored very high for the 13900K as well. Hope that helps.

I have a 5900X and NU-D15, but my CPU temperature is often 50~86 C. I would like to ask if this heat dissipation is normal? Could it be that my heat dissipation paste is not applied properly? In addition, I want to ask you The 5900X+NU-D15 runs the actual CPU degree, I need to make a reference, thank you :)

Your temps can go up if you apply to much Thermal Paste but the 5900X does run a little hot, but I did a second video after getting the CPU fixed so the temps are in that video. However if your getting 86c on idle that's to high, unless it's when gaming which in that case is ok.

@@HitagiTW Those temps are no problem, as this CPU is known to run hotter then other Ryzen CPU's and when gaming 86 is no issue, if you start getting into the 90s then I'd be more concerned.

@@HitagiTW i get those same temps but im using nh-u12s . it gets in the 80s for a few secs randomly but stays in the high 70s while gaming and idle 50-60s while idle with pbo on . im might use a second fan later on to help it out.

What they told you was incorrect, the retailer is responsible for the replacement, NOT AMD, your contract was with them NOT AMD. IT'S THE RETAILERS THAT HAS THE CONTRACT WITH AMD NOT YOU, see the Black Belt Barrister retail law on youtube for further advice on this. although trying to repair the pin yourself may have voided the warranty. good luck with an expensive bit of kit not to work.

Yeah I did think it should be them as well, but to no avail. I'm trying AMD but they'll likely say no also. I'll likely wind up trying to straighten them again but likely I'm just stuck with the loss. Yeah AMD likely won't hep me with it and have the same thoughts as the local PC shop, so I'm watching videos on best ways to try and straighten the pins. So if I don't get to return it for a new one that is ok, then I'll do a video on how I fixed it and hopefully then do temps and such. I'm ticked at them considering how much I've made a point of supporting local business and they treat me like this. So I'll order online as much as possible from now on. no need at all the card is not powered and the card is coated with paint covers static not to mention the 4 layers of the pcb unless you touch the pins while running nothing will happen unless you have a heavy static charge like on a carpet etc ... look at the overclocking pro they use shop towel on the mb XD and I'm not even talking about the layers of vaseline when the oc is at -200c and anyway think about of the dust that could make shorts in pc full of dust
