Best Way to Reduce Noise in Photoshop CC. In this video, we'll perform Advanced Noise Reduction using the best Photoshop noise reduction plugin: Dfine 2, a part of Nik Collection by Google. We will approach getting rid of noise manually by using several noise samples from or image for accurate and personalized noise reduction.

Dfine 2 is not only FREE but also the best plugin to reduce noise in Photoshop CC. Although there is a way to remove noise in one click automatically, we will use the manual method where we pick noise samples from around the image and use it to analyze the different patterns of noise. This plugin is compatible with most later versions of Photoshop. In this video, I'm using Adobe Photoshop CC 2017.
Noise is mostly caused when the ISO is very high or the sensor of the camera is not good enough to handle higher ISOs. This kind of noise has a particular pattern and sometimes the patterns differ from area to area. It is evident that one kind of filter or effect will not remove the noise effectively and therefore the need to analyze several patterns. Though the best way is to get it right in the camera and avoid shooting at higher ISO, high ISO noise reduction is possible in this method.
Fixing noise in photoshop or any other program always has a major drawback. It makes images look smoother and they lose sharpness and details. In this video, we'll also cover how to get over that issue and reduce noise without compromising with sharpness. To begin with mak sure you download the noise removal plugin "Dfine 2" which automatically installs as a part of "Nik Collection".

I love the Nik collection especially the analogue plugging - absolutely gutted google are not continuing with it. Nik should never have sold it to them, it was a market leader in image development in opinion. Another great video by the way!

Nik used be a company developing these softwares. They were selling it then google bought it. Next day it was for free. Nik owners not very happy about it but I have to say that these softwares fucking rocks.

I downloaded Nick Collection as suggested and it works a treat. I had noise from using 800iso photographs although not bad was enough to distract as I was sending the photos off for printing. So quick and easy to use it also links from Lightroom and it does the work in batch.

Hey Unmesh. You should try Topaz Denoise. It's not free but you can get a trial. You can remove noise by color channels and there are levels for highlights and shadows you can adjust.

everything is good for well focused photos with a little noise like this one here, but nothing works for those with really bad high iso noise..

How about selecting only the non-edged areas and then apply the noise reduction? That will preserve details.

If you only buy one piece of photo imaging software, it should be the Nik Collection. At one point (before it was bought by Google) it cost 500 dollars, so 69 dollars is a steal.
