I just got back from jonnys concert here in Griffith and I’m 17. I can’t believe people listen to the trash they do when we’ve got absolute gems out there like this!!!! These guys were mental. Thank you so much for the concert and proving that Aussie rock is still alive and banging!!!!!!
I'm a huge fan of this album. Totally unknowns in Italy, I've found this CD in a 1€ basket at the supermarket a couple of decades ago I think. It was love at first sight. I then lost the CD and had to buy it again on eBay. This band deserved more success.
I adore Noiseworks!! I'm 21 and my mum has been playing me their music since before I was born. I have gone to so many of their concerts and also majority of Jon's solo gigs. I am so surprised that so many still don't know these guys exist. They are missing out on pure talent and proper Aussie rock legends!
True. This style of rock music as well was pretty much dead in America by 1992, as grunge had taken over. If this song was out 5 years earlier they mightbe had a decent chance in the USA @jacksonashby7596

The big Comeback song could be an embarrassment for any band. Not thjs time it wasn't, awesome song and top music production. Despite the slightly over radio friendly chorus the song still kicks butt. Nice one lads. If your stage production is anything like this the tour will be awesome.
was at the cambridge hotel in newy one saturday night, late july 2012. hear this on the jukebox, mates and i were like 'okay that's cool, haven't heard that for a bit'. then it came on again, that's funny, someone must've put it on by mistake. after about the 6th time in a row is was incredibly funny. great moment.
I like to imagine that, when writing “Hot Chilli Woman”, Jon Stevens found a book titled How To Write A Cock Rock Anthem The Easy Way and flicked straight to the page on Horny Food-Related Cliches. “I’m so hungry I want you on my plate.” “I lay you down and put cream on your pie.” If someone told me that the whole song comprised of nothing but stolen Brian Johnson-era AC/DC lyrics I would totally believe them. But if nothing else “Hot Chilli Woman” was a good audition for lead singer Jon Stevens, next career move; playing Judas Iscariot in the all-star Australian production of “Jesus Christ Superstar.” And this video, with the unbuttoned shirt and all, was likely what gave him the job of fronting INXS for a couple of years in the early 2000s. “Hot Chilli Woman” is a 7.
It was a clear change of pace for Noiseworks. They were untouchable (no pun intended) for the Noiseworks and Touch albums with powerful matching live shows. Guns n Roses were collapsing under their own weight & grunge was tearing through the charts. I think with this song & music video, Noiseworks chose a direction. They had to. They went as glam rock as they’d ever done. But Pearl Jam, Soundgarden, Stone Temple Pilots, Alice In Chains, and some other band that starts with N had taken rock in a different direction.
