This is a series of Noita runs where I went for the No Gold Achievement from my stream. Enjoy! Noita Pillars: noita.wiki.gg/... Twitch: / dunkorslam Twitter: / dunkorslam #noita
07:00 In every single run: He deliberately and irritatingly avoids every gold nugget on the screen. In the no gold achievement run: He jumps on the gold nugget as fast as possible.
Right? And then he claims it's a habit.. The dude is attempting a no gold run in every run.. There could be a hoard of blood gold while he's at half hp and he's still going to swoop right past it to save a second...
Notice how Dunk always throws the runs I bet yes on. These are the deceptive practises that have led me with the backing of the weebs to sue Dunk for the insider trading of sweat
Hey Dunk! I've been watching you content for a while. Just wanted to leave a comment saying that I love how you conduct yourself during runs and how you upload things just as they are, leaving in potentially unsuccessful attempts, that is a great idea to keep engagement. Also really love the rants and the explanations. Thank you for the content and I hope you're having a good one!
Dunk, I've been watching your videos to learn more and more about Noita and it's been so much fun. Finally got my first win after 75 hours, and it's all thanks to you imparting knowledge!
I played over 300 hours back when the game first came out, never could get a win. Put it down, frustrated, until I started seeing Dunk's stuff here on YT. I learned so much from watching a few VODs that I was finally able to clinch a win! I vote Dunk for Noita teacher of the year
Started playing the game because of your videos. Its a pretty fun game. Your videos are very enjoyable to watch, just watched an old 11 orb run that you did. Got some good tips and it was good content.
Hey Dunk! I picked up Noita at the suggestion of a friend a while ago and tried to push onward with no spoilers for a while. Managed to get pretty far, but not enough for a win so I decided to check out some videos. Lucky for me yours were the first I found and I've been binging them since. Would love to catch a twitch stream but was wondering if you had a stable schedule or if your streams are more impromptu. Thanks so much for all of the great content and for the in depth explanations of wands and tech!! God Gamer we salute you.
Welcome to the Noita community!!! You are in for a wild ride =) As for my schedule I don’t really commit to one 100% but I am usually live starting around 10 PM CST Tuesday to Saturday. It’s a weird time I know haha
@@DunkOrSlam Thanks so much! I actually got my very first win while watching your Noita power hour on Friday. Only thanks to your chainsaw and spell wrapping wand tutorials. Its amazing how deep this game goes. I'll keep an eye out for more livestreams!
I do miss the days when this was youtube. When there wasn't the oversaturation or the crazy editing but just a dude talking and playing a game. Honestly it's kinda refreshing.
Dude, I literally find this to be just as hard as a no-hit run, strictly on the basis of habit alone. The sheer force of constant thought that is necessary to remember not to pick up gold on instinct is insanely hard. Sometimes your fingers are already on the way to pick the gold up before you even realize it xD
This play looks exactly like i play (new to the game) - avoiding everything, super conscious, afraid of everything, not going anywhere😂 reminds me of life)))
random question: i know u can steal spells from the holy montain but can u actually steal from the shops in the sky or the hell? cause they are really expensive
If you haven't found the answer yet, no one has found a way to steal from any shop outside of holy mountains, just visit gold biomes to afford the spells
you can chaotic poly into a worm? has anyone tried being eaten by a fish as a worm? oh nvm. you were talking about one of those big worms. i was thinking fish food lol
The curse is actually the red symbol that appears when it collapses. If you go back in and touch any red pixels before they all disappear, you'll take a lot of curse-type damage.
Is there a reason why you couldn't take the earth essence's rock from outside the mountain to steal from the shop? (and have a way to prevent gold pixels while holding the rock) ?
can someone help me, i saw a wand he made in one of the videos that was about double explosive projectile mod but i dont remember what it was, does anyone know the trick
can someone help me? wand 1: delay 0.27 recharge 0.15 1:double+spark bolt+ chainsaw really fast 2:double +chainsaw+ spark bolt fast but not as fast as 1 why??? 3:double + trigger spark bolt+ chainsaw really slow, why?? wand 2: delay 0.15 recharge 0.52 1: chainsaw+ trigger spark bolt+ double + heavy spread+ chainsaw the recharge time is 0.52-0.17-0.25-0.17=-0.04, delay is 0 right? why still so slow?? I am so confused! can someone please help me!!
Did you have the perk concentrated spells? I think it does some weird things that might explain the discrepancies in wand 1 #s 1&2 (in a vacuum I think they should be the same.) Otherwise, for #3 and wand 2 #1 you're not eliminating cast delay with the chainsaw because spells inside a trigger are in their own spell block that doesn't effect cast delay at all (positively or negatively,) so it's only reducing the recharge (notably, wand 2 is always either casting the chainsaw in a separate spell block or inside a trigger so it can never effect the spark bolt directly.) 1-1 and 1-2 should both fire every frame, but with concentrated spells I think 1 might be at either 0 or 2 frames cast delay and 2 might be at 2 or 4 frames cast delay - that's just a guess for how it works, though, could be unrelated weirdness from somewhere else. Would match the described rates though. 1-3 should have 0.32 seconds (or 0.35/0.38ish with concentrated spells? It's very poorly documented, it should add 2 frames per spell but I think it might get weird with chainsaws, thus my hypothesis for the first two,) cast delay. 2-1 should have no cast delay on the first chainsaw and 0.2 cast delay on the spark bolt (so the spark bolt would have 0.21 delay overall). Concentrated spells would maybe do even weirder things here and I don't want to think about it at all. Note: all of this could very easily be 100% wrong. I don't actually understand Noita and I'm not going to pretend to, I just dabble.
chainsaws delete all delay in their block the moment they are calculated, so for wand 1-1, it calculates plus 0.05 delay for the sparkbolt, then the chainsaw sets it to zero on top of minus 0.17 recharge, meaning 0 delay, -0.02 recharge total, so it casts the fastest amount possible: once per frame. 1-2 chainsaw removes the default 0.27 delay, then adds the sparkbolt 0.05 delay. totals become 0.05 delay, -0.02 recharge, so it waits for the 0.05 delay. 1-3 the double is effectively doing nothing. The inside of the trigger counts as its own block, and the changes to delay of anything, including chainsaw, do not "activate." Basically, if something is inside a trigger, you can ignore its cast delay. However, changes to recharge time always activate. It's a bit confusing. The way I view it is that "cast delay" gets called on the spell block, while recharge time gets called on the wand. Anyways, the thing that the game calculates is the default 0.27 + the sparkbolt w/ trigger's 0.05 delay, and there are no other changes to cast delay. The recharge time is the default 0.15 - the chainsaw's -0.17. Totals are 0.32 delay, -0.02 recharge, so it waits for the 0.32 delay. for wand 2, it instantly casts the chainsaw, then casts the sparkbolt w/ trigger and its payload. chainsaw only affects its own block, so the block containing the sparkbolt w/ trigger has a total of 0.20 cast delay. there are enough reductions to recharge, but it is held back by the spark bolt w/ trigger. a way to make it cast every frame is to 1) have zero or negative recharge, which you do, and 2) have a spell block with chainsaw as the final spell. a way to construct that is: double, sparkbolt, chainsaw. a way to construct that with a trigger is: double, sparkbolt w/ trigger, [payload], chainsaw. the payload must be exact in order to function; if you don't have "enough" spells in your payload, it will take the final chainsaw and the special cast delay negation effect won't happen. by enough, i just mean that you have to deliberately fill each slot of the trigger. random doubles, triples, or so on won't let it work. please respond with any questions, learning how to make wands in noita was super fulfilling for me and I want to spread that joy!
Chase please don't think you need to only upload special videos to youtube, I want mooaaaaaaaaaaar Post some of your normal runs, isn't it sad that your runs are lost forever? I'd kill to watch em, but I CAN'T join Twitch! it's awful and unoptimized, it always buffers for me, even though I can watch streams on youtube and even at very high resolutions. So please, at least... idk twice a week you can back up SOME runs to youtube? It'd give me so much to watch...
