Noita literally gave me one the biggest jumpscares I've ever had when I went through a hole and a massive dead worm was staring directly at me from above
I'll do you one better: I had the more hate perk on and an offscreen alchemist got a hold of a nuke wand in mines. He detonated a nuke and its blast radious almost got me, got himself launched at me by his own nuke and shot me again, now dead on. The very next run I found another nuke wand with multiple charges but I had the glasscanon perk so I kinda had to try it out.
I had a horror moment not too long ago. I made a wide vertical hole in the ceiling of the holy mountain, which angered the gods. But I managed to escape down through another hole without catching Steve's eye, as I had planned. Then I found the OP wand and went back to kill Steve, but he disappeared somewhere. And when I walked near the hole in the ceiling that I made, Steve's corpse fell out of it and landed right at my feet. Horrified, I carefully climbed into the hole to find out who had dealt with him like that, but didn’t find anyone.

It can't be bargained with. It can't be reasoned with. It doesn't feel pity, or remorse, or fear. And it absolutely will not stop, ever, until you are dead.
