One thing we love about living in Sarasota is just how close we are to everything. Today we decided to get out of the office and grab lunch on the beach in Nokomis. It's just a 20 minute, easy drive to enjoy a casual lunch in the glorious Florida weather. We even got to here a good little band playing at the refreshment stand.

▬ Nokomis Beach ▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬
Nokomis Beach is a short drive down Honore Blvd. or I-75 to Rt 681. If you have 15 minutes, take Blackburn Point Rd and make a left on Casey Key Rd. This narrow road is often just feet from the beach and passes by some of the most spectacular homes in the area.
Nokomis beach is the oldest public beach in Sarasota County and is our personal favorite. We love to bring the grand kids here and often see dolphin swimming in the inlet. We have actually been swimming in the water with gentle Manatees, an experience not to be forgotten.

Next to Nokomis beach is the north jetty. The north and south jetties provide boaters access from the Intercoastal waterway to the gulf and is a popular spot for fishing.

I still prefer Hallandale Beach Florida more it’s a beautiful city with a growing communities and businesses and a good nightlife.🇺🇸

What color is the water ?

It varies. It's often a blue-green like at 3:11, many times even brighter! After a storm though, the water can be darker. It's usually stunning and clear. You can see fish swimming if you open your eyes or where a mask.
