I loved the Capt. It was so sad that she was killed. She had so much faith in Nolan that she brought him over to her precinct when no one wanted him because of his age.
Thanks for posting this, I just watched it and thought the van had circled around and we were about to have an unexpected ramming. My guess is that for shooting (film) reason the van was always behind the car even when they were filming the internal car dialogue. having stayed at a holiday inn, I am kind of an expert on such matters :)
I didn't notice that but that could explain..... (spoiler warning) How they found her house later with her and Nolan having a beer. And killed the chief and attempted to drown nolan.
Dear producers and writers I was going to congratulate you people for this awesome TV series. This was not a crime solving show, yet this movie with its especial stories never ever happened in the history of movie making. The design of making this movie was based on respecting police officers, and to show the audience many different cases and scenarios and rules that police officers are involve on a daily bases, which we never knew about them. Police department should honor you guys with some kind of Oscar. Only few people could recognize what was behind of this production. Thank you again and more power to you.
Man I feel bad for Mercedes Mason. First they kill her character off in Fear the Walking Dead (right before she's reunited with her father no less) and now they shockingly kill her character in this show off in the most gut-wrenching way imaginable.
Do you get the feeling Nathan Fillion wants to be a cop. In Castle he was a writer who helped the cops solve crimes and now he is playing a cop in the Rookie.
0:59 the reflection of the glass in the background show that the van is still behind the officers, meaning that the officers are still being stalked. DON’T LOSE YOUR GUARDS, OFFICERS!
I like this show alot there is alot more realism than other cop shows obviously not everything is perfect but much better than these other police shows
I hope we see a new captain enter the rookie in season 6. After Andersens death by the southern front, and capt. Tom Weatherbys set up promotion by Sgt. Grey with the intention of getting him away from Mid-Wilshire Station, us fans have not seen an LAPD captain since. There was a reference to a "Captain Maudox" in the episode of Greys shooting, and another reference to a captiain when Nolans son is taken into hospital, but no Capt. has been seen on screen since Weatherby. Shame, I liked Andersens character so I wanted their to be a proper replacement. In terms of season 6, introducing an LAPD captain would be a great opportunity to introduce a new character. Cmon Rookie Universe, at the very least give us a reference to Andersen, she was a well loved character by us fans. 👍
Thats tough im balling for her. SHE BROKE HER FUCKING FINGER and died fighting. She’s like the coolest popo in their house. Middle east veteran bad ass bih
I'm pretty sure Mercedes Mason didn't want to be on the show anymore cause on one of her recent Instagram posts she said she suffered from extreme post partum depression and anxiety so that might be why she decided to leave the show
my question would be why didn't they arrest and charge the little spoiled princess who started all of this in the first place. She had a man who would do anything for her, even kidnap cops and kill one. And Cpt. Andersen was killed all over that little princess dress failed in the middle of trying to stab someone. I bet she is one of those "better her than me" people. Well lets see how she feels with conspiracy to commit murder to police officers charges.
Wait a minute, van creeps and stares at the cops and then, turns away. . @1:00, how come I see the van reflection on the street stores??? It’s the same van with the driver dressed in red.
+ElijahRoks Whoops? 😆 There is more than one panel van in the United States. I see them every day in my patrolling except they do not parallel me with a stern look. You’re not observant, you are trying to make nothing in to something.
Ok man... So at 49 seconds it is def not the same van that was seen behind him earlier. And then right after at about 59 seconds it isn't the same gray van with a guy in a red shirt seen reflected in the store window? My bad then. My 'whoops' I guess. I just figured they shot certain scenes with the van behind and didn't think anyone would notice. But you're right, there are a lot of vans in the US. I drove one for work for like a decade. I've seen plenty of gray vans, and all with guys in red shirts!
If you're familiar with real LA cops you know that this would never have happened. at least that's how I feel. ie. they would take revenge and I would support the 102%. She must have just signed up for a certain amount of episodes. She was a real badass, just wondering how many of our service people are under-recognized for their bravery and devotion to this country we take for granted and trash.....
One of the few shows that action knew how to write a strong competent female character without her only quality being 'im a girl so my life is harder than yours" ..... And then killed her off practically immediately.
